gopennstate - 2009-12-28 4:35 PM I have decided to become a coach.  If you are looking for a coach who is an expert on eating cookies and not training, look no further, I'm your girl.

ps--I'm still going to exit the LP swim paR-tAy of all swim PaR-taYs in less than an an hour, despite my fat azz and lack of training.

glad im not alone.....time to tighten up.

Baby, I would hire you but I have a thing against hiring coaches who are not as good as I am at their discipline.....

Sounds like some New Year's resolutions involving reduced cookie consumption are not in order. =p I'm trying to ease myself into eating healthier....tonight I made peanut butter and banana muffins with wheat germ, walnuts, and lots of wheat flour. They tasted so damn good I had four muffins. Hmph!

I started my New Years Resolution / LP Diet Saturday ... and I'm down 5 lbs already   Anyone else (especially guys in the M35-39 AG) feel free to eat, drink and be merry throughout the New Year.  Heck don't worry about training or diet until mid-Spring.  We got plenty of time.  Really.

Question: Has anyone done both the Rhode Island HIM bike course and the IMLP bike course?  And if so, how would you compare them?  The reason I ask is because I've done the RI HIM course twice and after "watching" the Lake Placid Coach Troy DVD, the courses seem very similar.  The first 1/4 of the RI course is flat, but then it's rolling hill after rolling hill, with lots of false flats and long gradual climbs.

Okay.  Jorge...LM... your thoughts?  LP Loop vs. Rhode Island bike course??  (Not including the first flat part of the RI course).

What is this dieting thing that you guys speak of?  My New Year's resolution is to eat >5,000 Kcal/day so I can keep my weight on.

Is that what you're talking about?  I have hired some coaches that have helped me with my beer consumption.  We are just exiting the Volume phase.  I am happy to report that I have gone from 2 beers getting me tossed to over 8!

Progress baby...Progress!!!!

This thread has become good for my ego in the last few hours.   May it not distract me from the killer training I've been up to lately.

HA!  That song is on my ipod.  It's gonna be more like Baby Got Back if I keep up the cookie eating and lack of training.   Allright, I'm off to throw down a couple k in the pool.  My sneakers got some play finally yesterday, but it was run/walk and I am not logging wussy training.  LazyMarathoner has a good reason to do run/walk, GPS does not.  Galloway and I had a good time reacquainting ourselves yesterday.  I miss him so...

ps--a 17 minute run in the Charlotte airport that maybe got logged 2 weeks ago was not wussy training.  That was full on VO2 max!

I guess that hundred dollar bill was only going to keep you quiet for so long.  And for the record: I did it for love.  I did it for my wife.  She'd seen them 16 times in concert when she was a teenager.  Disgusting really.  And for the record, the concert was two days before Eagleman, and I sat on those awful plastic fold down chairs, and my hamstrings were sore as shite on Race Day.  And sure enough my hammy's cramped on the run.  So the damn NKOTB cost me a PR at Eagleman last year, so I'd appreciate you not bringing up that painful, painful memory.
