No matter how much you try, imagining celery is Thai food is NOT going to work

I should also stop watching the show Monsters Inside Me.  It makes me want to become a bubble person and not go outside ever, ever again.

Oh dear God ... Monsters Inside Me ... drive-by post from the ER. My old friend / new housemate Jim dragged me when I suddenly developed excruciating sharp stabbing pains in my abdomen, headache and cold sweats. Waiting on ultrasound and possibly scope. But they do have very fast WIFI here and the IV pain meds are making me feel almost comfortable.

Tell me abouddit ... I'm going to try and catch a bit of a nap now before the ultrasound.

Sometimes you just gotta throw up your hands and accept that's how life is right now, in this phase, for me. I've learned how to do sick well. Okay, well, not being dragged to the ER bit and being in constant denial, but everything else.

I'm inclined to think the clindamycin and tons of scrip NSAIDs from the aftermath of the molar extraction may have rubbed a raw spot into or even punched a little hole in my gut somewhere.

Thanks, Pittzee. I'll keep y'all apprised.

If it makes you feel better about your burpees, it took me like 16 minutes to run a mile and a half today.

Of course, I had a cardiac surgical procedure done 11 days ago.

Hats off to you bro.

It felt good, too. I've been going slightly crazy all cooped up in the house.

In the interest of full disclosure, it wasn't open heart surgery. They accessed my ticker through the femoral artery of one leg and the femoral vein of the other. Science is cool.

I know Crossfit is the best way to getting in shape, but after 8 years wrestling and 8 years in the Marine Corps, I have no desire to do calisthenics until I pass out. You who do that stuff have my respect and admiration.

I had just gotten into doing CF competitions before my heart issue popped up. I am looking forward to getting back into CF, now that I have hopefully gotten it fixed. I've been sidelined for a few months, so it promises to be "fun."
