That is exactly what it is all about! I found myself tired after traveling (I'm in Houston now) and after getting to the hotel I changed and went for a run that would've never happened otherwise.
The challenge has kept me doing my workouts the last few days. My 2.5 year old has decided that she doesn't want to go to bed at night and likes to wake up in the middle of the night again. I thought I was past that stage now but guess not. |

Master 3022 | Subject: RE: Ernesto's group (5th season) - Closed kristaae - 2013-01-08 10:51 PM I use BT as my primary planner and logging site. I sync the BT calendar with my ipad and iPhone calendars. I used to import the BT plans but found I was always changing them around so I've started trying to input my own plans from books, etc.I also use strava.com because my brother-in-law uploads his workouts there. I like strava cause I can see how I rank against local riders, etc. for climbs or routes.I also use Sport Tracks on the recommendation of Ray from DCRainmaker.com. It's pc based and allows you to track a lot more and do a lot more with your data. Honestly though, I don't really have time to manipulate or analyze my data too much. I mostly use the graphs on this website to look at trends, etc. Finally, I use athlinks to track all my races. The data is all there, you just have to claim it.I'm pretty obsessed, huh?Question for the group:  Do any of you track your workouts in something other than the Beginner Triathlete log? If so, which one? And how do you use the information/calculations/zone information (aside from distance, pace, etc.) to monitor your progress or plan your upcoming workouts? |

Do any of you track your workouts in something other than the Beginner Triathlete log? If so, which one? And how do you use the information/calculations/zone information (aside from distance, pace, etc.) to monitor your progress or plan your upcoming workouts? I track all my workouts here on BT. I find its easy to use and easy to see total results for whatever time period I want to look at. That being said. I use Strava for my runs and rides as well, basicly because I want to compete against my friends in the Segments and KOM's. Since I have a Garmin 910 everything gets uploaded to Garmin connect. I don't really use it much except for looking at swimming data as its much more involved than here. Overall the BT site is great though for putting everything together and keeping track of time in HR zones, total distance, etc. Edited by BigDaddyD79 2013-01-09 6:37 AM |

Member 47 Baltimore | Subject: RE: Ernesto's group (5th season) - Closed Does walking count? Did a 40 minute walk yesterday morning then went for my sports doc appt to get another opinion about my left leg issues. Took x rays of my pelvis, nothing shows, they want to do an MRI to see if there is nerve damage etc. I'm thinking I'll just try and get serious about my stretching routine, yoga, swim etc, and lay off the bike a bit when possible. |

And how do you use the information/calculations/zone information (aside from distance, pace, etc.) to monitor your progress or plan your upcoming workouts? I primarily use BT to track everything and schedule my training plans, synch to Google, etc. I also have a free Training Peaks account, which I use if I want to micro-analyze the data from a particular workout. |
