Thanks, I needed that!

I'm currently filling out an injunction against harassment, and will let him know that if he doesn't stop contacting me, I will submit it to the city court.

As for getting even... it's been about a week since I cleaned up the dog poo in the yard...

What you need is one of those air cannons that they use for pumpkin launching (a small one would do.  6" PVC pipe, end cap with a 1" quick open valve, some fittings, an air tank-55 gal should do, pre-pressured to 90% of tank rating), a couple of bags of fresh manure and a window with a small opening.  If none is provided, use a hammer or convenient rock. Load cannon.  Blast off.

TW

I'm pretty sure I have all of these parts readily available at work.

A social worker should know better than to mess with an engineer.

The conversation following the (polite) threat of injunction lead to a fairly civil conversation. So, hopefully, I don't actually have to follow through. But, if I do, it's ready to go.

Wow, sorry to hear about the drama. I feel fortunate that I have never really had to deal with such intense personalities. Needing to possibly get the law involved sounds scary. I'm hoping for the best for you. I think many of us THINK about all the petty revenge plans, but it takes a while different level of person to do it.

I need a volunteer. You must be willing to smack me before I make stupid decisions.

After deciding to let an ex boyfriend watch my dog over the weekend, he logged into my facebook account on my kindle, and proceeded to message virtually every male that I was in contact with before, during, and after we dated for ~4 months. He told them about how I'm a liar, a cheat, and I'm just using them for my physical needs. Aside from inappropriate, but not-serious, comments with one of them, I didn't really do any of the things I was accused of.

Yesterday was spent apologizing and doing damage control... and getting dozens of texts, fb messages, and then e-mails from the ex, calling me terrible names and generally degrading me.

So, whoever volunteers, gets to smack me when I do things like let the ex bf in my home or life for any reason. You also get to smack me when I date someone who displays crazy tendencies.

So, takers?

Also, is this what being 28 and single is like for everyone? Or is it just my poor decision making skills

ouch. The brief period I was single and dating people I found a LOT of crazy in 5 women over a period of 8 weeks. I was surprised how fast I said no to second dates and got called over critical for a guy who isn't that good looking. I dated for about 2 weeks a completely SMOKING hot girl and for one min thought Why is she willing to date me.. 2 weeks later I figured it out. CWAZY. never ever let an ex into anything you do. I allowed one to crash at my house for a few days 2 years ago. that didn't turn out well. I care to not talk about or mention any of the things that happened. I am willing to give you a scolding.

WOW ELAINE!!! That is all kinds of cray.

Chris to your bolded... I had a guy accuse me of this as well. I went on one date with him, and about a week later I updated my dating profile (keeping it fresh, right!). He messaged me, calling out all of my changes assuming they were personally about HIM. It was a super creepy, aggressive email, saying I was too picky and not even that hot. Maybe there was some truth to that

Too picky maybe.. Not HOT I would disagree.

I have the right to be picky have you seen how many crazy stupid people are out there? WTF is wrong with most of the world.

I update a profile it's not about you, you frigging egomaniac. Thanks for qualifying I made the right choice.

Made it until I was 27 for that to happen... then I've had to threaten intervention from the law twice in under a year.

I think I'm at that age where all of the sane ones are married, and I'll just have to wait for them to start getting divorced.

ok total TAN confession time.

I stepped on a scale this morning and I saw 228lbs I run about 200lbs since losing weight. Previously 270-280lbs.

When I peaked at training I did hit about 190 for several months in 2012. Even dipped to 185 for a few weeks (didn't feel good here)

But I can't seem to stop putting junk in my yap. With a new baby (just an excuse) and new job etc. And now my balls having me laid up, probably longer then I want. Yesterday at work actually made them worse. Today is only a tad better. I did bring decent food with me today and yesterday. I ate emotionally on the weekend. TOTAL EMOTIONAL eater here.

I seriously need an intervention of sorts. Both Amie and I had surgery over the last two weeks and it is making things tough. I finally got back to working on a regular 3-4 day a week basis just a few weeks ago. Bought a bike again and need some damn inspiration to get moving.

If Elaine can get a slap for doing silly things. How do I find a way to stop drinking pop and putting down icecream and cookies.

PS it is like 38 degrees here today. I was just outside for 20 mins with no coat on. Feel the warmth baby. I think this winter has taken its toll on me.

HTF am I going to lose 28 lbs.

I am going running again (2 days straight. Yay me!).  Long and slow probably with some walking.  Yesterday's run worked on helping me to sleep last night.  I woke up a couple of times but went back to sleep.  This counts as a good night for me.  I want to lose about 16 lbs. In the past week, the needle has not moved.

I've lost these pounds before.  I can do it again.

Last night I went to bed around 10:15 PM. My dog woke me up barking like crazy and I thought since I would have to get up soon I would just let her be, but she kept barking so I decided to put her in the garage. I looked at my clock and it said 11:37PM. I felt like I had been asleep for hours!!!

Stupid dog.

do NOT have them in the house.  i have almost no food in my house that doesn't require cooking to control my snacking habit!  i am a big stress eater too - i've taken to drinking tea to distract myself from the non-hunger.

I know I did this forever. Now.. Now I basically steal from the kids. That is how I have to look at it. Although they eat pretty decent. I have the 7 year old hooked on Edamame sp?

The other night was funny she asked for it. I told her not til she ate all her broccoli off her plate then she could have them as a treat.

Bribe a kid with good food to eat good food.

And she picked out cucumbers as a snack at the grocery store.. Don't kid yourself she asked for granola bars too. Something I no longer stock as of last weekend.

I stopped drinking Cokes and Mountain Dew a couple of years ago.  I  I have a Soda Stream now.  I prefer carbonated water to sweetened drinks.  So that is not a problem.

I have a weakness for cookies though.  The easiest thing is not to buy them.  I can put away a bag of ginger snaps in a day.

In addition to keeping the crappy foods out of the house, eat foods higher in protein and lower in carbs. Protein will help curb hunger.

For snacking, go for things like baby carrots, or broccoli florets -- without any kind of dip, unless you want to use something high in protein like hummus.

I've been drinking a lot of tea lately, too... mostly mint tea, some ginger tea.  They're both great when I'm just trying to unwind.

Well, to add to the weight convo.

I was heavier than I ever was and needed to lose 25 to get back to what I normally raced at.  HOWEVER, I normally raced at a weight that was probably 20lbs too heavy.

Goal one is to lose those 25.  Happy to say, with low carb and exercise, the first 10 went pretty quick and so far so good on the rest.  I hope to shoot by my old race weight and get to something even leaner (again, since I raced a bit too heavy)...

Honestly, just giving up deserts, chips, and bread has been a huge difference.  Also, stopped drinking diet soda just cuz soda in general (diet or regular) just isn't that great for you.
