Raced my final race this weekend. Just a little sprint so I was able to add 3 miles to my total.

45.42 of 52 miles.

Almost home with less than 7 miles to go.

Donskiman - 2009-10-24 3:44 PM 5K race today in 22:09, good for 3rd in AG. A few more miles later in the day.
Darn, YOU ARE FAST!

Thanks. I was hoping to go faster. A few weeks ago I ran 21:15. The course yesterday was more difficult though and the last half was uphill into a strong headwind. Still, it was my best time ever on this course, so I was pleased. I also managed to beat several guys who've been beating me earlier this year.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Hey everyone .  It's been a busy month and that has kept me from keeping up with this thread and sending out inspires.  However, I am happy to say that I am 3k away from completing my goal for the month.  I've got a 6k run tonight so I should be all finished up by the end of the day.

If I can get through this week hitting all my planned training that will be 15 weeks in a row of hitting every single planned run workout.  I've dropped about 2:00 min/mi off my easy training pace in that time as well as 25 pounds.

It looks like everyone is having a good month on the run!

I had hoped to be running at all by the end of the month but it looks like it will be at least another month. I'm getting tired of the PT. Still crippled :(

Hi Crypt Keepers! Sorry I've been away from the thread, still having computer issues. So sorry you still can't run, Nicole.

I finished my third marathon last weekend in 4:59:20, and did 10 miles on Sunday putting me at 152 miles for the month. I should reach my goal by Friday and then Saturday's long run will be extra credit

It looks like everyone is doing well on their goals. Keep up the great work and lets finish strong!

Got another run in.  I'm feeling pretty good with the hips and my daily PT but I'm hesitant to increase my goal back to the original.  Don't want to jinx anything!

If the spreadsheet is up-to-date, it looks like 2 people have essentially sabataged the hard efforts of the rest of the team, and another person may not have been able to workout as planned because of illness. Many people have pushed through injuries to reach their goals for the team and they are to be commended.

Hopefully the people who are well behind their goals have simply failed to log and post  - and will do so before the challenge ends.

Congrats to everyone who has already achieved their goals and those on track to reach them by Saturday.

Unfortunately, this is fairly typical for a challenge. Best intentions and all that. I'll see if I can prod them a bit.

I'd forgotten how painful it is to run in the cold.  It was 44 degrees out for my last run and my nostrils hurt soooooo frickin bad that I got all teary eyed.  Fortunately it only lasted a few minutes.  Is there anything you can do to prevent this?

Do you have a balaclava or wrap to go over your nose & mouth?  I find it helps with the cold shock but have a hard time with it cause of my asthma, makes me feel like I'm suffocating.
