Of course I did.

That being said, the wrinkles were not much worse than what's pointed out here...so I think I'm pretty safe.  The price of the standard skinsuit is $104.  They have a "high end" skinsuit that runs for $200+ which probably has better fabric.

Probably has dimples (no I'm not joking).

I know you aren't joking.  I laughed when I read the description of dimples.  That said, I did see their high end bib shorts.  The laser cut edges make it really smooth without as much stitching.  How much that will save you in time...I don't know...maybe nothing.  But it definately looks and feels more aero.

Well, it is still true that so long as your skinsuit is wrinkle-free you may wear any helmet you wish.

...another guy ordered a skinsuit that looks great.  I tried it on and it fits perfectly.  A few wrinkles near the shoulders when I get into aero position, but otherwise very slippery.

Egads! I read somewhere on the internets that this was worse than riding gatorskins on box rims while wearing a styrofoam ladybug helmet...

Post the pics - cant wait to see it!

Did you read in TT that wrinkles are not aero ?

I need Botox.

don't laugh

My buddy is a plastic surgeon. I figured he could make me aero with a little botox and a little lipo could allow me to climb like a shleck.

There are three cardinal rules in surgery.

1. Don't ever get a surgery you don't actually need.

2. Never let a friend operate on you.

3. Under no circumstances should you let anything lick the surgical sites afterward.

axteraa - 2012-08-10 2:10 PM Ours were from Champion Systems too.  I look like Faris with the tri topon.  I must have a really long torso because there is no way I can wear it.

I met Faris in Munich. Super cool guy. Dresses for training like he does for racing.

Well I broke rule 2 and 3, but #1 is still good.

A friend of mine met Faris up at IM Austria last month.  He had normal pants and a polo shirt on at the post race party (he was actually on their table).  She took a picture with him and I didn't even recognize him.

I met him walking out of my hotel. He was running. With the Abu Dhabi top and headband he was hard to miss.

I then later ran into him again at the track and ran with him and a group. Very cool.

Has anyone here ever gotten bursitis or a swollen elbow from riding their tri bike? My right elbow is tender, swollen, red and hot to the touch. It doesn't hurt when I swim or move it. If you push really hard into the joint it hurts and feels almost bruised. I don't remember falling on it. Or being bitten by anything. I do have a small cut on a finger on the same arm with swelling around that.

The elbow has felt swollen for the last couple of days. Driving over to go on my run this evening, I noticed that it was red and hot to the touch. The red area is extends about 2.5-3 inches around the elbow. We self diagnosed either an infection or bursitis or infection of the bursa? via the internet..Yes, I know this is a bad idea.

After digging around in our medicine cabinet we found Cipro and tetracycline. I really don't want to go to the ER tonight or this weekend unless red streaks start coming up my arm.

The only thing that I can think of is it may be infected bursitis from riding in an aero position and putting pressure on the joint. Via- Internet medical diagnosis.

Do you think it would hurt it to complete my 3 hour ride/30 min run tomorrow? I also have a 2 hour run/ 1 hour bike on the schedule for Sunday.

ER Doctors diagnosis is Cellulitis. This was determined through a blood test. They sent me home with a script for Clindamycin and told me to follow up with my doctor on Monday. I'm not totally sure that I agree with their diagnosis. The swollen area is the same size but it is hotter and a darker red color.

I'm assuming that exercising tomorrow would probably be a bad idea??

My wife got that type of infection on her leg a few years ago (probably from a spider bite while working in the garden). Symptoms sound very similar, except she did have a clear insect bite close to the occurance. Hers got a little out of control, but oral antibiotics took care of it. It did not stop her from working out. Like Kathy said, I too am a big fan of sarurday urgent care vs. Sunday emergency room. If it gets worse at all today don't hesitate to go back in for a second op.

for sure see your doc on Monday.

I didn't ask if the test was positive for cellulitis. They said something about elevated blood cells or levels?
The only thing that is keeping me from working out is the fear of making it worse. Otherwise I'd be on the bike. Hopefully this will clear up soon. Of course this was an ideal weekend to get in some solid training.

There is no positive test for cellulitis other than something general like an elevated white count. The only way to truly tell would be something like an MRI to show exactly which tissues are inflamed, which isn't going to be done for something like this. The treatment would be the same regardless of if it were an infected bursa or cellulitis. It is likely a staph infx which is why they gave you clinda. If you were having difficulty moving the elbow or it were more tender then I think it would be fair to have a higher index of suscipicion for something other than cellulitis. Take the clinda, monitor it over the weekend (it will take a few days to work), take the entire prescription ( even if it does seem to start getting better) and monitor it: gets worse or you have symptoms of pain with movement/fever/nausea/vomiting/etc, then go back to the DR before Monday. I'd take it easy, I don't think you have to do nothing training wise though, just keep off the elbow.

Yech. Well, everyone's given you good advice including the doc lady Melindy so just want to say hope the antibiotics kick in soon and you get some relief.

I agree with her too ... not necessarily suspend all training, but stay off the elbow and ... try. If you're feeling off during the training or it aggravates the sensation in the elbow, dial down or stop.

My vacation ends today . Heading back to Edmonton to get packed up to leave for rural Alberta to do an amalgamation of anesthesia and ER for two weeks and then I'll be heading out to Toronto for two weeks for ER. I'll be hitting up the pool today before I head home and bike/run tomorrow and then I get a mini taper this week! My preceptor said I could register for a tri next weekend near where I am doing my elective even though he is on call. It will be my first and only tri of 2012. I'm interested to see where things stand! Haha

Holy current, Batman!

But my girls Hillary Biscay and Michelle Mitchell are kicking azz ... Hillary beat most of the guy pros' times in the water but that's normal. Michelle was a couple minutes behind her.

MichMich still needs to get enough points to go to Kona ... she's close but not quite there yet, having had her racing schedule rearranged by a broken hand right before IM Melbourne in March.

In my AG F50-54 every swim split was under an hour!

Rene that is our kind of swim

Strong advantage to those weaker swimmers who lose time on the swim.
