All the best to Bryan today.............may he crush it! Smile

Arend that video was an overall truing but I think gave you the gist of the out of round.  That could cause the frame rub.

I am heading out on a group ride (32° to test out the new jacket.

It is even chilly in Arizona.  Well, up in the mountains where I live anyways.  37 this morning.

I never used instant pace on my 910xt.  I don't need a constant reminder of how slow I am.  Ha, actually, I don't train by pace so no need.  Other then that the watch has been really solid for me

50 in Tucson! Brrr! Getting out of bed for work this morning was not fun.

Luckily, the low for my tri tomorrow is supposed to be 60 - and because of my swim time, I'll be in a late wave.

Brrrr! Frost on the porch this am...out for a run and had to wear a hat and gloves for the first time.

Best of luck for Bryan! I'm excited to see the race.

X2 on the 910xt - instant pace is really off, but overall pace/distance is great...OWS was the best. Love(d) it.

For those of you with the 910xt, how do you like your it as far as run pace accuracy?

Like the others, I don't use instant pace.  But, I do have average pace displayed and I get a pop up split for each mile (you can adjust the interval).  These are good enough for me.

Bryan swims 1:04:59.  I know that's wicked fast, but does anyone know how that is for him?

His plan had him 1:02-1:04.  So he's right there.

With the chop out there generally slowing down swim times... that's awesome

Next time Bryan does Kona we need to make him wear a tracker so we don't have to rely on Ironman live.  They keep changing his bike splits.

Race report from this morning. This was a good performance for me. I wasn't last, which is always encouraging for only my second 15k.

Bryan is off the bike. A tiny bit longer then his goal but both t1 and t2 was faster then the goal so still on target.

TSimone - 2012-10-13 11:26 PM Bryan came in at 9:48 and change. Not what he targeted but still a helluva time. Big congrats!

I'm happy for PJ. Dude figured it out.

His goals:

Swim- 1:02-1:04
Bike 4:55-5:00
Run 3:15-3:20
Transitions- 6:00
Anticipated Finish- 9:20-9:30

With the conditions out there, I'd say that he still did pretty darn well. Pro male winner was 15 min slower than last year, female was 20 min slower.

So, on average, missing the goal my 18 minutes was pretty darn close to nailing it.

Agreed!  Sounds like it was tough conditions out there all around.  Lots of chop and swell on the swim, strong head/cross winds on the bike and lots of heat on the run.

Looks like Bryan has a pretty solid race.  I know he was targetting in the 9:30 area, but the winning time wasn't as fast as the last 2 years either.

A young local AGer from Hawaii killed it.  Ben Williams finished 9:15, 5th M25-29 and ran a 2:56 marathon.  F'n amazing.  I was working with him in my last road race and he was just chillin while putting the hammer down...talking about how he still needed to run after the race.  LOL.

Ride in Bavaria today

this is what it looks like. Those bumps in the background are the alps. actually the 'pre-alps" I am told.

Is that kind of like a warm up ?

I was riding a Specialized Roubaix. What a sweet sweet bike. Rode for 4.5 hours yesterday, never felt a pain.

Also consider he spent his four minutes in the sin bin for a bike penalty. Looking at the top and average-of-top times compared to prior years, I'd say he more than nailed it!

I had an even better time in the beer garden. There must have been 20 of them along the ride. people sitting in the sun. drinking beer and waving at you.

Do you go to the beer garden with Mom ?

Tomorrow I am off to Poland so expect some perogi shots from my run

On ST he started a thread about drafting at Kona, praising the officials despite getting a  penalty himself which was cause by a moment of innatention. What a sportsman !! Most would be ^itching. Not bryan. He praises the refs.

It would be nice if the BT gods would at least allow him to write a race report. Oh well....our loss.

yeah, it is quite ironic that he got banned supposedly for his attitude cause he has one of the best out there IMO.  It is our loss indeed that we'll not get a race report out of him.

Starting the month off right so far.  Two solid weeks of 6x's per week of running.  Not a lot of miles but it's a process right?  Now, to get on the bike.  Kim and I came up with a challenge though so that should help motivate me.
