mr2tony - 2007-09-18 8:57 AM Mornin' TAN. Went out for steak last night. Got drunk. On a Monday.

I thought this said "Went out for a STREAK last night..." and I was shocked...even for YOU.  =

Now THAT would have been a good Monday!

Yes, well, I may have gone streaking up through the quad last night. I was just that drunk that I don't remember. Anyway had a 5:30 a.m. conference call with lots of bosses. That sucked.

Oh and it's kick-a-brutha-in-the-ding-ding day over in the `Who's assuming the mantle for Fish' thread. Why ya gotta pick on me, muthafu**as? I'll go Jet Li, Bruce Lee and Jennifer Jason Leigh on all y'alls ashes.

Joe's my poor, wonderful friend who is in the unfortunate situation of not being in love with me.   =)  I think he has some brain damage, but he hasn't been properly diagnosed.  Anyway...Joe Schmoe.  Let's talk about Logan...=)  Isn't that a great name?

A great name is one that your can yell in the middle of the night... Oh wait, that's how you name a dog....  what were we talking about, again?

We keep kicking, but for some reason we're not making any contact...

Morning TAN!

Lots of new faces... Hello everyone and stay a while!

Mornin' LCT. Where ya been?

I'm glad there's new faces around too... new lab rats.

You have no idea how true that is. I've worked in a lab for over 13 years now.

Yeah!! More lab people!  What kind of lab do you work in?

Having spent the better part of six years in labs, I decided not to spend another six (I mean, it's not like I would even get two wives for my labors, right?) ... however, there were many notable accomplishments ... making Jeff's poo glow with transgenic bacteria ... blowing up the floor of a new lab the day before the grand opening with all the donors in penguin and ice-capades getups ... I should probably not mention "bunny burrito" or "fried trout" either ...

Hm. Probably just as well I didn't persist with academic / research science. Doggone it! Gone to the dogs ... yep ... I'm a doggie trainer and also moonlight with a little company known to have a little bit to do with fitness ...

Work in a food testing laboratory.  Mainly microbial.  Bacteria.  Yeasts.  Molds.  All kinds of good little bugs.

You?

Sanctuarymuch schwamm.

I don't normally frequent this thread, but I was scanning thru this morning and saw this. My first thought was Sanctuary from Logan's Run.Any else remember Logan's Run?

YES! Loved that show. Funny thing is, I now live in a development named after the stream that runs through it. You guessed it: Logan's Run.

So the morons in our warehouse and one of our counter guys abused the internet. They were always on youtube and myspace. So my boss got mad and had our computer guy block them.

When he was done, he peeked his head in and asked if there were any other sites that he wanted blocked. My boss said "are there any other common ones?" and the computer guy said "Facebook".

Now... I use facebook, and randomly get on there to check messages etc. Is it a big deal? No. Am I heartbroken that they blocked it? No. Do I abuse it? No. The problem is, I'm gettin punished for someone else being a jack*ss. The guys that were the problem don't even use facebook. So it's punishing me, and not them.

Freaking retarded.

Will BT be next on the list?

I did that for about two months at the Oscar Mayer plant.  It was interesting.

Right now, I'm in a microbiology lab.  I'm working on gene expression in cardiology patients (well...eventually).  My work is mainly ironing out protocols so that we are ready once our patient study begins.  Today, I'm isolating mononuclear cells from blood.  It's probably the coolest thing I've done in awhile.
