Tracy, did you think the course was crowded?  Granted there were a lot of people but I didn't have any problems running the pace I wanted to.

DougRob - 2009-10-09 9:13 AM As I posted previously I have not been sleeping well, probably due to the taper. Well last night I got to bed and fell right asleep! At 1:20AM I am awakened by a beeping. Turns out the battery in the smoke detector in our bedroom decided to die! Of course we have no 9 volt batteries. So at 1:30 AM I find myself at Wal-Mart buying batteries!! So much for a good night sleep! Why last night? Oh well.

I wonder how I order one of those?!  I am pretty sure the P4 is dead due to standover, but I did find a dealer in Milwaukee who has a P3 48 that I can at least try out.  Heading that way on Tuesday for meetings so I have nothing to lose. The GURU Magis remains an option, but i need to get my bike guy to set up the geometry on my road bike to check it out. The perils of being a runt.  Swimming lesson tonight to learn breast and back.  I promised not to complain so I won't.

(I don't know if IMC still has the hot tub sponsor, but they used to have a large number of hot tubs by the finish line for people to soak in after the race). I started chatting with the guy next to me - the usual stuff, 'how was your race', 'tough day out there', etc. And feeling pretty bad about my fitness because he looked like an elderly, out of shape guy who must of beat my PR time since he was in the hot tub before me.

So after chatting for 10+ minutes he looks at his watch, stands up and says, 'well, I'd better start my run'. "

Suzy, did you see this month's Triathlete magazine?  Emma Snowsill's Felt TT bike is in there, it's a 43!  "diminutive power packed, Emma Snowsill...hey, she's 5'3 and 108 lbs., that's not diminutive!  I do think hers is a custom.  it's nice looking
