Hi Team - just a quick reminder that Monday July 14th is the LAST day of week one of the challenge.

It would be great if at this time you could make sure your google spreadsheet is up to date with your achieved and GOAL stages and distance/time for the week. (there are currently a few blank spaces on some of the teams)

I will get an interim result up in the forum on Wednesday assuming that whatever is in your team spreadsheet is the results for your team.

I have updated the spreadsheets so they are all calculating goals consistently across the board and as always if you have any questions let me know.

Your team spreadsheet is here: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pfYL7DR_dx-BogQq1hCEXEg&... class="MsoNormal">To login to Google Docs:

Hope everyone has had a great first week! Dont forget to keep supporting and inspiring your team mates - make sure you all keep in touch! 2 weeks left! (and feel free to stir up the other teams a bit too)

Hi everyone-

Hope the riding is going well...had one of those weeks where my training went to .  Was able to gt on the bike drainer at 11:30 last night and at least get my challenge mileage in.  Thank God for the peer pressure...otherwise it wouldn't have gotten done.  Hope to get out today on my scheduled rest day and get a bit ahead (or at least catch up on some of what I missed  in the run and swim department).  Have a great weekend everyone!

On the TdF, what is everyone's opinion about the Versus ad that runs over and over again showing the backwards motion....it seems really mean spirited.  I realize that the guys they show have been caught or suspected of doping but to rub it in over and over (especially the backward shot of Floyd taking off the yellow) seems like they are really being mean.  When did Versus become the pillar of fair play?....they couldn't give a crap as long as they can attract the widest audience.  The public at large probably doesn't know anything about the TdF except for Lance and the scandal.... so they push that angle and appear that they really care about the sport.  My opinion is that they shut their pie holes, actually show the race instead of the talking heads and their stupid conversations, and let the doping thing go.  The sport is taking care of the problem itself with sponsors rewarding the clean teams with strict teasting protocols (G-C and Columbia).  Damn, Jim, get off the soap box...way way too early for this.

I did a 20 mile ride/3.1 mile run today. Stopped at 12 miles to help out a rider with a flat; needed to give him a tube and CO2 fill since he was out riding with nothing. I guess I've banked some cycling karma today.

Hi folks!  I did a 3.5 hr ride this morning.  I'm all updated on the spreadsheet, highly doubt I'm going to ride tomorrow.

Off to nap on the beach.

We're a little bit behind the tour completion rate. Everything through tomorrow is included in the week 1 stats. Please make sure you've logged everything on the spreadsheet.

I'm up to date with my one-hour ride yesterday....maybe I should've put my goal higher....I'm way ahead of where I need to be.  .  Today was a run day, but tomorrow I'll try to get a bike commute in if the weather decides to cooperate.  I don't ride in thunderstorms but the forecast for now has them done before tomorrow morning.

Go team orange!!!!

You can probably still increase your goal. If that's what you want to do, contact Cat to verify.

I logged a short hour ride last night.  Other than that, haven't had time to catch up on the actual TdF except for what Cat has in her blogs.

Tour De france forum.. a few of us normally talk through the stages so just drop into the days stage and have a quick flick through if you are intersted!

Took a big ride yesterday... OY! Got lost, bugs on my face, went waaaaay longer than I'd had planned... whew! But it was fun even though my legs were wobbly by the end.

C'est bon! Trois! - not bad! 3rd place!
