Woohooo!  That's me over 100% as of this morning, too.  What a great challenge, this is also the most I've ridden in a few weeks.  Still planning on doing a long ride over the weekend, so I may go WAY over my goal.    Great job everyone....looking at the spreadsheet is awesome, we may not be Lance Armstrong, but we've put a lot of time in on the saddle this month!  Awesome job!

Amazing job, everyone! We have three people at 100% - the rest of us six just need to keep pushing as hard as we can. I am over on minutes and now just need one more stage to hit 100. We can do it! We are ORANGE-TASTIC!

I've got enough stages done but I guess I miscalculated my goal somehow. I need to get in another 28 miles tomorrow.

I rode with a friend today. She pushed me longer and harder than I've biked in quite a while. I kept getting dropped on the hills (MDHillSlug, yup!) Needed 28 to finish the challenge, got in almost 35. Yea Orange!

Good goin' MDSLUG! Oh, you can't be any slower than me. Hills ain't fun but whenever I hit one and actually get up and over it without any major trudging - its like a parade day!

I was looking at the other teams' spreadsheets; assuming they are all up to date it looks like we are in 2nd place!

The TdF Challenge will be over soon. So how are you going to stay motivated NEXT month? Interested in another challenge?

There is a "Casual Challenge" planned for August. You can set goals for RUNNING and/or SWIMMING and/or BIKING and/or OTHER (strength, yoga, etc) and/or WEIGHT LOSS. (You may sign up for ANY or ALL of these goals.)

There will be no teams (unless we get a lot of people signing up, then I'll split the group). It's just a friendly challenge to help people achieve their workout and weightloss goals.

Click below to read about the August challenge, or sign up for it:

Hey all-

Finished my last ride of the challenge today...right on track with my training schedule.  Sorry I wasn't much of a cheerleader.  Life (and mostly work) kind of got in the way.  Nice to see all the folks that hit 100% or more of their goals.

See you around like a donut......

Hi Team,

Just a reminder this is the final day of the TDF challenge - I hope everyone has enjoyed themselves

There has been a little confusion over how the final results will be calculated so from the original thread with the challenge rules here are the details :

"The winning team will be determined by the overall % of goal amount of stages and % of distance/time achieved by the team. (each goal counts for 50% of your overall goal achieved)"

What this means is you cannot achieve more than 50% from with of your totals... I havent had any requests for clarification sent to me but i thought I better just remind everyone!

Results will be up in the next couple of days, so just make sure your team spreadsheet is up to date

I am sorry I missed a stage... I got my miles, but my last stage (today) didn't go as planned... Bike Chain siezed up yesterday, and can't get fixed until tomorrow..... Hopefully we are still ok?!  My apologies!

Don't feel badly - you had mechanical issues! I hope you get your bike fixed and you're back riding soon

We did great. Everyone should be proud of what they accomplished. How we finished in the challenge...not so important!

Did you see that Euskaltel-Euskadi finished 4th overall as a team? Samuel Sanchez finished 7th, 6:25 off the lead.
