victoria.petridou - 2009-07-08 6:08 AM I think I have the worst bike of the challenge. I ride on a 2 year old crappy city bike.
But I'm going to buy this one soon.... hope so

I want a 2 year old crappy city bike!!!!  I live 1 mile from the center of town and find myself driving because I don't want to put on my bike shoes/helmut etc.  BTW, very cool bike.

No riding on the exercise bike tomorrow.  Early meetings for work.  Hope everyone is off to a good start!!   PS. Go Lance  (I'm a middle aged female, what do you expect?????

techknowgn - 2009-07-08 4:18 PM I am a bit lost. I forgot about signing up. I've been riding most days, and I can put my mileage together so far, it's all been entered into the training logs. I cant find the rules post to figure out exactly what im supposed to do, we're in the middle of packing for a move to Boston, but I'll be riding at least every other day for the next week and a half.

I have 2 stages complete since the start of the TdF. I wish my prologue had been 7/3. LOL. Anyways, I'm getting a nice long ride tomorrow night, might even get 2 stages in. Tonight, swimming and running with a short ride.

Good morning Everyone!!

I had an unscheduled rest day yesterday. I feel asleep while watching the Tour..I know sacrilege! But in my defense I was tired. I have already gotten my run for the day done and will be riding again this afternoon. I'll have to do two ride to make up the stage of not take the rest day on Mon. Since I am riding the same #'s of stages that the riders are doing. You are all doing so good and even getting rides in while travelling. Very dedicated. Well I guess I'd better go shower..just got  back from running and the dog left the room.

Have a great day and get your T.I.T.S. in today

What is everyone riding for their TdF?  I'm on a 3 year old Specialized Roubaix Comp.  I have "bike envy" at every race, but am sticking with what I have for now.

Hello team,
I have 2 stages done and 8 to go. Taking the day off today and will swim tomorrow. I have a 10K race on Saturday and should do a long bike ride on Sunday.

I just bought last November a Cannondale slice 5 tri bike. Really like it.

Good afternoon Team,

Just got home form my ride. I decided to get my butt outside instead of riding the trainer. It was really beautiful here in Southern Ohio. It was a little windy but at least it was not raining. Like for the poor guys on the Tour.  Well off to shower..man all this working out makes for lots of showers. :0 Then to watch the rest of the Tour. Hope everyone is doing well

Today I am so excited to ride - it is GORGEOUS out!!!

swam with master's (yay me) this morning and going to tape for CNN HLN early afternoon - then picking up new bike and going for a spin - no mountain stage for me today - just rollers.

big stage weekend for me ahead - 2 and 3 hour rides planned - and debating making sunday's ride climb to the foothills with a local group - I know I need it but I am skeered.  Lots of climbing - 4400 on the long ride and like 2700 on the shorter ride....

Welcome and no worries - all your rides (including trainer/spin) count since the 4th - so log them!!!
And I hear you about being dropped and riding alone - that might be me tomorrow morning, unless I sleep in....

as to computer - depends on what you want - cateye is cheap, garmin is multipurpose and my favorite (but $$$) powertap - I like training by power as it works indoors and out whilst velocity does not translate....

any bike computer will do that - just go into your LBS and get the cheapest one....

I ended up riding a longer stage than planned today - so traded with tomorrow's ride - 2:10 and a bit more climbing than I intended....I guess the TdF got to me after all!!! I did think of their technique as I was dreading another climb....and didn't even swear whilst going up

Hi team! I had some probs with my internet con and couldn't follow your progress. Finally, it's been fixed and I'm glad you are doing so good. I finished my 4th stage today and tomorrow I'll do my long ride.

Have a great weekend!

Another stage in the bag.... Tomorrow in honor of the mountain stages I think I am doing a ride called climb to the foothills - 4400 feet of climbing - no where close to what the TdF has, but then again I have only been riding 1.5 years....

Back from Zurich.  IM Switzerland is tomorrow, wish I could have stayed to watch.  Bummer. Today's plan was a 6 mile run.  At mile 2 came up on a biker with a rear flat who had no idea how to change it.  Am I cursed?  This was the second rear flat that wasn't mine in a week.  Of course I stopped and changed it for him.  At least he had a tube and CO2. Am I turning into a volunteer bike mechanic?

Tomorrow is a bike/run brick.  Now, a glass of vino and a bit of Versus to catch up on today's tour action.

You are officialy cervelo team mechanic Tongue out Hope you had a nice trip back home. I can't even watch it on tv, as there's no coverage of TDF in Greece I think Greeks are only interested about football.... grrrrrrrr...... At least I can watch some videos on the web, but still it's not the same.
