I was finally both well enough to run again and also had the time to run today for the first time in 2 1/2 weeks Still lots of time for me to get in all my time this month, especially with the 3 day weekend coming up.

Hi everybody, first, I LOVE THE HAMSTER. What a cool mascot. I am sorry I fell off the face of the earth this week, but I have been running (a little) and have updated my logs. I had an "interesting" weekend in Montreal canada, where i did get a run in on Saturday, and have been recovering from that as well as working like a MAD MAN this week. Any accountants out there know that the first quarter of the year is an absolute nightmare.

Now, enough of my whining! LET'S RUN!

Hi fellow Hamsters!

I got another 4.2 mile in.  Approaching 50% (47.9% now) before the Nor'easter hits!

I know KathyG is doing her long run RIGHT NOW.  Cheer for her!!!

How's everyone doing?  Careful in the snow!

Same here. I got a nice 5 miler in today OUTSIDE! I figured if I can do it in Canada, why not?!

I think I'll be back on the hamster wheel tomorrow if the gym is even open! Good luck and I hope everybody got their blizzard supplies! Take care.

43.64 miles so far for the month but I won't run again before the tally Monday morning. I'm a little concerned about making my goal but I guess that's why it's a challenge. Based on my scheduled training, I'll make it with a cushion but...

BTW, all my miles have been outside. It's been a great winter for it so far here in ME but I'll run outside in anything above single digits and short of a blizzard. I really, really dislike the hamster wheels I have access to at the gym. The TV's are mounted right above the dreadmills so you can't see screen so it is the most boring thing ever. I actually prefer to run the little 10 laps to a mile indoor track because it's around the ball courts so there is usually something to look at. Too bad the surface on the indoor track is nasty on your body(concrete-yeck).

Ok, I am finaly home from plowing. 20 hours of snow plowing, 3 hours of sleep and 8 hours of work. For those who did not notice, the blizard did not stop me from going OUT for a run on Sunday. I could not sleep knowing I would be called in soon. In bed at 10PM up at 1,3 and 4AM. Decided a run would be better than sleep. Ran in the Blizzard at 5AM. Not great miles but lots of fun. Kind of reminded me of the Feaster 5. Less people (none), more wind (gusting to about 30 at that point) and more snow ( at least 2.5 inches). Just glad I  took my "rest" day and ran, so I can sleep tonight

Despite my aches and pains I'm actually more then 1/2 way there.  I was skiing in Vermont when all the snow hit down here.  No snow in Vermont though.

Well guys, I'm afraid I may let you down.   Due to nagging IT band issues, I've cut my running down.  It's still possible for me to meet my goal, but it's gonna be close.....

Sorry (sniff-sniff

Sorry to hear about the ITB flare-up ---

hopefully you can keep walking, jogging, anything...just don't hurt yourself...to meet your mileage goal.  You have a good 6 days left, so yeah, close is OK.  Meeting the goal while healthy and strong is all that counts.  And you *are* a strong girl...

Cheers, -Sunny
