On paper, this series is telling me OKC in 6...but that's on paper...

I'm goin' with my gut:

Miami in 5.

They certainly did, Durant had a great 4th.....I wasnt expecting Miami to win the first one, but was dissapointed the lost after being in a good position to pull the win.  Thursday game will be important for Miami, you dont want the pressure of having to sweep at home.

Michael Jordan said "the playoffs start when the home team loses". The Thunder did great things, but like Westbrook said as they went into the locker room "even keel, we did what we were supposed to do."

That scares me as a Heat fan. That the Thunder's young guys get it that a win in game 1 at home is not something to thump your chest about. It's what you're supposed to do.

Then the playoffs have started....I like the position Miami is in.

The only blemish on the Heat's win was that terrible call at the end...Lebron definitely fouled Durant.  If Durant goes to the line, you have to think he's making both free throws...that game would have been tied with seconds left.  Yes, enough time for Miami to get the last possession in a tie game, but that very easily could have been overtime.

If we are going to go by the calls that could have been made then Durant wouldnt have been in the game to attempt the shot.  He ran over Battier with about 5 minutes left on what should have been call a charge and instead got a blocking call and 2 FT.

The blemish on that game was Wade turnover at the end, thats what allowed the game to be up for grabs until the end.

well if you go that route you'd have to go back through the entire game, for the other two fouls called on Durant that were poor calls and subtract those leaving him in the game.  Or Ibaka (sp) wacking james on the arm for two drives I remember in the first half so he would have been on the bench for a long stretch and Miami would have increased their lead.  The ref's were very poor on both sides last night. People will remember the last couple of calls at the end of a close game, but like the ref who was jailed for fixing games said, It's the calls early in the game or 3rd quarter that will help a team out the most.

If the heat play like they did in the first half, this series is over, While I don't see them play a lot that was the best I've seen them move the ball around.

That was kind of my point, that if you pick in a specific non call then you have to go back the rest of the game and look at everything.  At then end most of the time thigns will even out, there are just a few games when the calls are just totally one sided in an unwarranted way.

This series will go at least 6, i dont expect it to be over by any stretch of the imaginaton.  I think Miami will win 2 out of 3 at home, the thunder are too good to not win a game here.  I will be at the game Sunday, so hopefully thats not the one that the Thunder win.

it's great you are going to the game sunday...

I'm almost thinking they will alternate games for the series.. whomever can win two in a row has a huge advantage.   a couple of us are thinking of driving up to OKC and hanging out if the series comes back of course

Miami looked much surer of themselves in Q4 last night...Is this coming under the heading of 'will not be denied'?

Hard to tell yet....OKC is too good to start thinking about that.  What i will say is that they are playing entirely different than last year.

Wow... I was really hoping to see this series go to 7 games, mostly since I would get to watch 7 games.   but it looks like it could be over.

Does Miami clinch at home or on the road?

The best team won the title...

LBJ really needed to get that monkey off his back and I'm glad it happened for him. He's one of the best players ever but to join the ranks of Bird/Jordan/Johnson you have to close the deal...He was a different player in these finals than last year's version and it was the difference, IMHO.

More surprising to me was how well the supporting cast held up - after a really rough first game, those guys stepped up, so there's plenty of credit to go around. Chapeaux, mes amis.

OKC didn't play to their potential - key player nearly invisible for the series/bizarre coaching at times/inexperience. I think these teams could be seeing more of each other and it's only going to get more interesting.

If there are any Lebron doubter’s out there yet, they are just in denial now.  He dominated every single aspect of the game.

He can relax now, play for fun, and that combination I think will bring him and the Heat a few more trips to the final.

Now i need to gain my voice back...
