- Played rugby including the mud, the tackles and the bruises

- In my previous job I was the first chick they had hired in 3 years (and had to regularly fake talking tech with engineers)

- Passionate about my sport (footy - Union, League, AFL) I get passionate, YELL at the television, get stressed, cranky and go into a tail spin when my team looses, often while drinking beer

I used to run a chainsaw and cut and split firewood because we only had a wood burning stove. I have power tools in my basement and am not afraid to use them I snowboard, which more women are doing so, but it seems as though most sports are dominated by men.

I bass fish and have been known to deep sea fish.

However, I also have been known to take a break from bass fishing to lay out on the back of the boat. So maybe that doesn't count...

First, which bass - small, bucket, stripe, rock?
2nd, what's your rig setup, i.e. baitcaster or spinner, and light, medium, or medium-heavy action?
Turd, live bait or artificial?
4th, spiderwire, twisted or mono, and line weight preference?

Which Bass? Large and Small Mouth, though one of our local lakes has a lot of Spots.

2nd- Spinner (not coordinated enough yet to throw a baitcaster)- light or medium action depending on what we are fishing (flipping around docks, fishing points, etc)

3rd- artificial. Can't use live bait in a tourny. We like to throw a Carolina Rig. Color of worm is normally Green pumpkin. That seems to work well in the lakes around here. Also like to throw shadraps (sp?) when the fish are chasing bait fish.

4th- mono- have no idea what lb test I use normally. Derek gets all the rods ready so I use whatever he puts on it. Usually he has about 5 or 6 rods that we use all with different baits and lines. I know he usually breaks off on some bigger fish from not having strong enough line on there. But that's not happened to me. Most of my "bigger" fish are in the 3-4 lb category. Biggest bass Derek has caught was a 10.5 lber I think. That was caught in February one year, right before the fish started spawning.

Hockey .. there's no checking like there is in men's hockey (non rec anyway) but the ladies sneak in as much contact as possible with the elbows, sticks, etc.

I also used to weight lift on a pretty serious basis.

Let's see, I can add couple off the top of my head, but I will say these were all from my trip to the sandbox in 2004, not this time...I desk jockeyed most of this trip.
- I've been shot at and had my truck get hit by a bomb in combat (my truck and crew were all fine btw)
- I have shot back at the bad guys
- I have ordered my troops to shoot back at the bad guys with some great weapons
- I have peed in a bottle in a moving truck with body armor on (if it's not safe to pee on the side of the road...you gotta do something)...
- I went to a school that was 90% men and wore the same uniforms the men had to wear
okay, that's enough for now.

It's the off-season, and I'm ashamed of my wimpy little 3X/week workouts.

(Hangs head in shame.)

My blog has my race logs, though.

I used do archery and owned my own bow. Not really sure if that's manly or not, but considering there were only 2 females in the group I shot with it seemed like a male dominated sport. I never killed anything though.

Post your workouts girl, there's no minimum requirement.

Reading this thread makes me feel so... girly!  All I've got to offer is my pre-triathlon sport:  Muay Thai.  Trained, but didn't fight.  And yet, if we were to start a thread, "Women, What Girl-Girl Activities Do You Do?" all I'd have for that one is (1) baking, and (2) paying too much for haircuts.  Trying to wean myself off the latter.  Am I the "gender-neutral" triathlete?

Lol...

The next time you sign up for races, instead of checking M or F you could fill in GNT and see what happens next.
