Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms I did strength and have bike intervals to do. I like doing them on the trainer as I can control my watts better. I think I'll set it up in the driveway with some loud music after I pick up the kids from school then go for a quick fun spin when I'm done. I really want to ride now but have a call with my coach scheduled and I have lots of questions. |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms orange223 - 2008-04-02 5:04 AM Way to go Yanti - Kicking off the season with a HIM!!! Seems like there is not an "off season" in SoCal? Thank you! Not really a tri off-season ... Dec/Jan/Feb are off, but March-November are HOPPING. 'Winter' months there are a lot of road races. Great to see this team having a wonderful start to the challenge! I've put in some bike time commuting, but no workouts yet. Might swim tonight (or not--still working off the last bit of a cold). |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms Off to a nice start, team...I think I'm resting today. (I just think I'm resting, because I probably should rest, but I HATE rest days. So far, so good - just resting...but I'll be at the Y tonight with my kids for swim lessons and the equipment might just drag me into working out...funny how that happens.) |

Extreme Veteran 1074 | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms Hello everyone.....did some situps, etc this morning, then 1250 at pool at lunch and weighed in at 168.6 which is down 20 pounds since Jan 1, or whenever the 25 in 25 challenge started. Pretty happy bout that. I think I need to revise my bike goal. I put in for 225, but I dont know if I can make that, since at least 75 of those were trainer miles and my trainer is dead. I am going to revise downward to 150 on the bike. I hope to hit 200, but weather's still iffy here four outside rides. Are we still able to change the goals? If not, I will do what I can to hit 225. |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms Tomorrow I have a 60 mile bike w/ 40 at IM pace/3 mile brick on tap. I need for it to warm up enough to go ride, then get done in time to pick up my kids from school. It is the squeeze play and my husband is out of town. At night I'm going to class #1 for my bike race course..looking forward to that but adding that in to IM training, 6 soccer teams for my kids is a bit nuts. While you guys are all working, think of me out riding and running..fun to be like a kid when you are 46 Mom to 5 |

Elite 2634 in front of my computer duh! | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms Hello everyone my name is Joe. I have a fairly light goal because I am trying to recover from a knee injury and the doctors are not quite sure if they are going to do orthoscopic surgery this month but they are leaning towards a yes. My goals for this month are Swim - 7,040 yards (thats 4 miles total, just incase you were wondering) Bike (in some form) - 150 minutes Strength train - 15 sessions And good news I can officially knock off 2 strength training sessions (last night and this morning) and 20 minutes of bike (this morning) |

Master 1289 Franklin, TN | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms Got my swim in this morning, not quite a mile. It really hurt to breathe on my left side (3-stroke), so I did 4-stroke breathing on right side only. It worked out okay. Wow ChicagoMan! Way to get the weight off! - Terry |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms I got in 80 minutes on the trainer tonight. It was raining when I got home from work.. I'm disappointed that I had to ride inside. I'd much rather be riding outside. Hopefully the weather will cooperate more this weekend. |

Extreme Veteran 466 | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms Got in 2 hours of riding today- first 1.5 with my sister and and then an additional 30 min on my own. Rather different paces But the impt thing is she is getting out riding(she got a new Kuota K Factor about a month ago) and she is planning some races this year. Today we talked about doing Keuka Lake International Distance, the Northeast Regional Championship and then she'll do the Musselman Half IM in July. I'll be in Hawai'i by then so I can't jockstrap her We did simplefit today too- think it's time to move up a level but not until after the Martian Half Marathon this weekend which will help my rather meager run miles so far. I might actually swim tomorrow but will definitely get better about it next week. My last day of clinical is tomorrow so will have lots of time for training- yeah. Great training Amazing Atoms! |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms My brick today has some issues... To cold to start so I rode on the trainer for an hour, went out and was cold with all the wind so doubled back home, wheel seems off but couldn't find anything wrong. Tire exploded..scared me a bit thought it was tire but nope just the tube..changed it with a couple of silly need practice issues. Then my wheel seemed loose so I decided to head home and stop at LBS to see what they thought..cones need tightening. So I only rode 43 miles, but my run off the bike was amazingly fast for me and it felt so easy..for me who has struggled with running fast and easy are not usual part of my run discussion. Happy training everyone... I'm going to have to change my goal numbers once I get my plan from my coach tomorrow. |
