Okay, I think it's time to show something else.  Enough victory laps.

True...but still, hats off to NBC for even bothering to show the whole race. It was great to watch.

Always amazing to see the Eastern Europeans come out of nowhere to win a major event like the Olympics.....

I caught the finish and said "who is she"?

She isn't really a nobody. That's how she runs and sometimes it works and sometimes not so much. I'm glad she won because the rest of the field ran like weenies.

It was pretty sweet that they pretty much showed the whole race!  I watched (fast forwarding through commercials...even better!).

I honestly didn't think the winner had a chance when she broke away so early...but I guess I don't know anything!

Paula looked like she was hurting as she came into the stadium.  Such a shame.

I couldn't help but think...these elite athletes have the best coaches in the world, fitness facilities, medical personnel, massages, etc. all at their beck and call...how the HELL do they end up injured with things like stress fractures?  I thought good coaches prevented that crap....

Runners World's website is saying that Deena Kastor has a broken foot, confirmed through x-rays.

I finished watching today.  Nice to see the marathon getting a LOT of coverage.  Good job NBC!

And, the winner is pretty amazing.  I hope I look like that when I'm 38.

Ouch!  Did she break it during the race or did she already have a pre-exisitng injury that caused the break?

The website didn't say. My guess is pre-existing. She tends to break easily, which I guess is from low body fat.
