Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Crappy Weather Winter Challenge roni_runnw - 2008-11-04 1:23 PM Could be awhile before I get any crappy weather points. We're in Pasco, WA for awhile. It's raining and windy, but the temp is 55 Great job on the ride aquagirl! But you get points for wind and rain! At least, that's how I understand it, as long as you have SOME multiplier, you get points, right? It doesn't have to be cold, does it? Wait, why am I talking someone else into getting points? *scratches head* |

Veteran 179 Cazenovia | Subject: RE: Crappy Weather Winter Challenge I'd like to join, too, as I need lots of motivation to get out the door when it's crappy outside. I can't seem to find the spreadsheet by searching Google docs, though. Is it possible to post a link? (Not that I'm going to get any points the next fews days as it's supposed to be unseasonably warm!)

It's raining and windy, but the temp is 55 Great job on the ride aquagirl! Thanks for trying, but no. Even if you're wet, cold and miserable, it doesn't count unless it's 35 or below. Luckily the rain stopped yesterday, so it was just windy and I wasn't miserable |

Got your PM, and here I am! So you want me to lead you down the path to confusion? Cool... Oh wait, maybe that's not what you asked for.... OK, then: 1) Click on this link: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pfYL7DR_dx-Desn_sHst4OA&hl=e... 2) If you aren't logged in to Google, you'll need to log in using this information: User name: [email protected] Password: challengeforum 3) If you still can't access the spreadsheet, try this link instead: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pfYL7DR_dx-Desn_sHst4OA&hl=e... |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Crappy Weather Winter Challenge Thanks, Dee! Thanks for the clarification, Bill. Not that I needed it, as it was absolutely stunningly gorgeous here at 65 and no wind, warm sun. Ran in shorts and a t-shirt, then went and had lunch with a friend outside wearing a long sleeved shirt and jeans - and it is NOVEMBER!!! Aaaaaahhhhhh. I have a feeling I'll catch up. Just heard the prediction that, while we're going to get the same amount of snow last year (top one or two record snowfall EVER), it will be in HUGE storms instead of little bits, it will be frigid cold instead of the perfect 25 F, and it will be icy, icy, icy instead of perfectly formed, perfect-moisture snow. *Sigh* Guess we'll just roll with whatever happens! |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Crappy Weather Winter Challenge Gang, I made a little table thingie. (I had way, way, WAY too much time on my hands tonight!) I don't know how to make it look like the table, so I just pasted the code down in the next post. Hope you like it! If you click on the title of the table, it takes you to the spreadsheet. ETA: Oh hey, it came out looking like a table! Cool! Edited by Slugger 2008-11-06 5:36 AM |

Veteran 179 Cazenovia | Subject: RE: Crappy Weather Winter Challenge Ooooh! I love the challenge table, Slugger! I love being lazy and then stealing other people's work. Although I prefer not to call it laziness, but efficiency! Thank you. I modified the crappy weather index sheet on the spreadsheet so if you just put your points in column "C" and your total minutes into cell C-29, it will calculate your suckitude score. (Mathmatical idiots like me love excel spreadsheets!!!) It is so wrong that I am actually looking forward to crappy weather. |

I just think it would be helpful in our log to post the math so people know where the totals are coming from as there is nothing in the spreadsheet for individual days. |
