4/25 - Small local race in Lakeland, Fl  "Race The Lakes".

My second race ever...first 10K. My first race was Gasparilla 5K in Feb. Very excited. My shin splints which have bothered me before the 5K in Feb, appear to be gone (knock on wood) and I have had some pretty good long (for me) runs these past couple of weeks.

Hoping to break 52 min. We'll see. Hills may be a problem. I haven't run the course before, so not sure if 52 min is feasible, but we'll see.

Pensacola Bch Tri (Olympic).  My 3rd OLY of this yr.  I did a sprint this weekend.  Hoping for calm seas in Pensacola.  I'm a bit worried as the forecast is for 15-20 knot winds & 3-5' waves, at least they have the bay as a plan B if its too rough.

Kentucky Derby Half Marathon in Louisville, KY.  Actually my 5th organized event for '09...  On my way to the Iron Abe Olympic in Springfield, IL on July 26th.

Half Marathon in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  It's supposed to be in the low 80's.  Yikes!  My last run was in the 30's!

Susan G. Komen 5k on Sunday in Newark.  I can't believe how hot it's going to be this weekend.  That should make my 3/.5 brick tomorrow fairly interesting!

Hoping to shave 2 minutes off from last years time to hopefully get a podium.

I'm doing the Sullivan, IL Triathlon this weekend.  My first sprint ever! 

My goals are 1.  to finish and 2.  At least 17mph on the bike...supposed to be lots of wind though.
