Hello everyone. Second straight brick day today. I'll probably have to end up upping some of my goals given the bonuses. Hope everyone had a chance to enjoy a Margherita or something today!

So I am confused on how the scoring goes.  I have sessions listed rather than time or distance.  Do I end up getting extra sessions as a bonus for bricks?  And can a person get more than 100% of their goals?  If yes, is there a limit on how much over?

sorry to sound like Ron ( from Biggest Loser) in playing "the game" but I just want to understand how it is going to work. And maybe MAV and her crazy brick fest has me a little nervous....

When I first envisioned the brick bonus I was figuring it for time/distance. However, it need to apply to sessions, too. So, you can take 1.5 sessions for bricked sessions.

I am capping goals at 100%

Happy Wednesday, Pueblitas!

How's the world today? I hope to get out to the pool, but work may get in the way. Definitely a run, later, though!

But, for now, breakfast ... mmmmmm

Further info on bricks:

I stated in the challenge rules that a brick is a swim/bike or a bike/run where the second event starts within 15 minutes of the first event ending. I have since been asked about other orders or combinations of events. So, my official ruling is that a brick can consist of any two of swim/bike/run as long as the second event starts within 15 minutes of the first event ending. Lifting, yoga, etc will not count.

thanks...  since we are being capped at 100% anyway... i think i'll just stick with my original goals and not add the bonuses in...  try to get there the old fashioned way!!!

Hi,

Dee has asked to withdraw from the challenge. Life is getting in the way of her training and she doesn't want to drag you down. I've removed her data from your spreadsheet.

Did a real practice tri today in our clinic - 1/3 mile swim - 15 mile bike and 2 mile run.  I did it in a little over 2 hours.  Slow but complete.  My legs are spent.  Very tight hips.

Hey teamies!

Sorry I've been silent - some personal junk going on, but I'm muddling through (and I'm soooo happy I set my goals low)...

I'm a little behind, but I'm catching up and will keep up my end of the goals. Don't worry - there's 16 more days for me to catch up.

Did another practice race yesterday.  Started as a pack in the swim.  I was way on the right and went out way too fast, so I got tired and had to swim a long way around.  Bike was ok until it got stuck in small ring and it would not release.  Run was hot and legs were tired.  Need to remember can't run 5K in tri as fast as an individual 5K race.

Walked and jogged a little today

as for me, i was out and about, wracking up some RACE-DAY POINTAGE for TEAM TABASCO.

my very first full sprint.  a splendid affair w all the trimmings - temps in the 40s, and outdoor pool swim, 14 mph winds w gusts up to who knows where.  numb legs and feet.  ya know.  just a sunday stroll in the park.  LOL.

seriously.

had the BEST BEST BEST TIME!

still waiting on my splits to figure out where all the points/mins go!

ill post the minute i do....

its a BACK AT WEEK for me!

ONWARD!
