I'm using it mostly as a warmup/practice for the xterra that I've been working towards...I don't even have a road bike...got an old rigid mtb with slicks, so the bike might be challenging, but it's not like I was planning to win  and my future father in law is coming to see our house for the first time and will be watching**nervous and excited** |

It's a sprint, includes a 800 yard swim in the local lake that I always swam in as a kid growing up around here. Beautiful lake, great spot. My first tri, wanting it to be over so I can quit worrying about it... driving myself nuts!  Little nervous, very excited, gonna make sure to keep my head up and looking around and enjoying the day. Writing this first one off as a learning experience - just don't wanna be DFL! Gotta remember to not pour the HEED on my head.....  Mel |

Should be interesting after suffering through a chest cold the previous week and a half. It's my first and only road triathlon of the season, after this it's back to XTERRAs. |
