Ontherun - 2009-07-04 5:01 PM

ok, bumping us back up unexpectantly to the front in a break away. I am Joe, kind of one of the original team gimpers back for year 3, and some more punishment. Got my first stage in today at 1:15:34 and 28.89 miles of hard ridding into headwinds or up hills. Either way, looking forward to pushing myself to a PR in August, so this will help. Good luck to all.

Good job man!

Thanks Cat. appreciate it as always.

BTW forgot to introduce myself.

Name: Tony
My plan is 13 sessions for 23 hours worth of riding in this 3 weeks.

Once my wife gets home from her ride I am heading out for hopefully a 2hr ride.

Have my first road race on Wednesday, should be interesting.  It's supposed to be an easy course but still don't have a whole lot of experience riding in a tight pack and they ride courses a bit different than triathletes do.

Wow. The last time I didn't know the majority of my team was, um.... probably during my very first BT Challenge, in, um... September 2007. (Ah yes, I remember it well....)

That's OK Tony, he's a Canadian who hits 100%!

You have to look out for Dee and her tasers though...  She provides, um, uh, motivation, yeah, that's it - motivation for the team...

I like Canadians. At least, I like the Canadians whom I've met.

I'd like to visit Canada one day. During the summer though. Not the winter.

I'm not a "cold weather lover."

I like my water warm and liquidy.

Yep. I'm highly "motivational."

I'm also Evil. (With a capital E.)

But you'll find that out soon enough.

So. If you start to fall behind with your goal - Will you be wanting the taser-tap, or the cattle-prod?

(I'm all about "giving choices.")

Hah. Better toggle that notification to "OFF."

Team Taser Running had 3,688 posts last month.

Yes, you read that correctly.

I blame it on my taser collection.

True. But this is TdF month. In other words, I'm going to be watching the TV a lot, and it'll probably impact my post padding.

Although, I suppose I can always move the computer closer to the TV, and post pad during the commercials....

Hm.

Wow....

If you take those numbers and turn them around, it's closer to how I ride. More like 6.127 mph.

Speaking of which, I need to get on the bike later today.
