Oh boy!  Taser time, here I come!!!!  Is it still considered punishment if you enjoy it?

Some people are motivated by fear, others by pain, and some by pleasure.... Whatever works for you, works for me.

For Kristen (Enders_Shadow), we could probably tie a glass of red wine about about a foot in front of her, and she'll set a new running record for the month. (Actually, that would work with Erica too. But so far, Erica hasn't signed up this month. Hm.)

I'm not sure yet what motivates me. Oh wait, I know -- anything with chocolate. LOL

Hush, Dee. Just 'cause it's true...

Happy New Year's Eve, team!

I'll be at home tonight, drinking spiked egg nog, hot spiced wine, and champagne. Yum. And maybe some water to even things out.

I'll think about my goals and put them in the spreadsheet soon. I just plotted out my tentative 2010 season, so at least I have something to shoot for.

We ARE here to chat. Thanks for reminding me to make up some goals. LOL

Nobody ever said chatting was bad, right? I have no problems jabber jawing.  Besides it fun to read everyone’s posts.

Hi Team - Happy to be on Team 1 with you all.  I just completed my last trainer ride for 2009 and for the Vixens - not as good a view as my friend in Boston, but I am in front of a big screen TV.....

I will be getting those goals together soon and getting started.  For those who don't know me, I am Tracy a stay at home mom to two kids (old enough that I should be working).  I started Tri's in 2008 and only was able to do one last year due to knee surgery.  I am going big and going to try a HIM in July of 2010.  We'll see if I can make it - finishing is the only goal at this point!

So, Happy New Year to you all!  I think rum might be the drink of choice this evening!

i'm at my desk and thought i should share two things:first is my least favorite apparatus.... but the second is I have a sweet view; since you probably can't recognize Boston Harbor thru the snow you'll have to take my word for it.... now the question is should i join the multitude of runners out there along the promenade???... ya i think so, too! i'll report back on the last run of '09 shortly...

and then i will be guilt free as i imbibe on the many favors of drinks from around the world; thats what is in store tonite at the Intercontinental Hotel here in town - and the best part is that it's just a short, safe cab ride away !!!

Mmm...I love biking the best, but I don't really enjoy biking in the basement. No view like yours, but it's set up in front of the TV and watching DVDs makes it tolerable.

Wow, Boston Harbor! I'm jealous. Oh wait, there's a lot of snow there. Maybe I'm not so jealous.

I am jealous because of the beautiful view you have (my trainer is in my basement, no view from there) and cause you get to look at Boston Harbor (I live in Nebraska, nuff said Undecided Tongue out).

Hey Neal...  how are you doing?  Lots of familar faces on this team.  My name is Andy for those of you who don't know me.  I like these challenges - many times I don't want to work out but a challenge gets me off my butt and back at it.  I have to set up my goals for the month yet...  I think I am going to go for 31 run sessions....  I really need something to jump start my running...  second goal would be keep hitting the trainer for the month.  I'll post'em up...

I'm Kathy, a 50 something challenge junkie. I am hoping to do my first HIM in June so need to keep building the mother of all training bases. I also just returned to work M,W,F so I am a bit challenged finding time to work out. Now that I have one in college the SAH Mom thing just doesn't pay enough....=/ (I took off from 05-this Nov while the girls were in middle and high school). I am also racing with Erica and Lisa on 2/28 so will be leaving many "motivating" inspires! Anyone else want to be on my motivation list????

Me!

Wait. How do you motivate?

'Cause I do it by tasering people. And if you're going to be tasering, then I don't really want to be on your list....

Uh, might want to make sure there's nothing breakable, or with sharp edges, first.... In fact, I think I'd put pillows all around. Big, soft, fluffy pillows....

But also -- set up your webcam first. Because I think this might be a really good YouTube video. LOL
