Expert 1580 Ankeny, Iowa | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge Round 2: The Holidays Weighed in at 146 this am - so it appears that 3.5 lbs have snuck back since Mexico and surgery.. Time to work it off. Can exercise again starting Monday with the exception of anything lifting or pulling with the hand. That will slowly come back but right now it is pissed if I do anything like that. Hoping in another month that will change. Oh well - LB weights/abs until then I guess.
Start - 146 Goal - change the middle number to a 3.. So 13x will be fine. Get active again! |

Extreme Veteran 671 Not Quite DFL | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge Round 2: The Holidays Here are my stats for the day: Wt - 210.6 BF = 27 Chest = 43 Abs 41.25 Waist 39.5 Neck 17 L Thigh 23.5 R thigh 23 L Bicep 14.5 R Bicep 15. Goal is to be under 200 again. (ultimate goal is 185-which I havent seen in 20 years) 25% BF or less, lose a total of 6+ inches (chest, abs, waist) I have no clue how I'm going to make time for it. I keep saying I want to do another round of P90X and yet I keep hitting the snooze button at 430 a.m. My work schedule makes it difficult to get in a good run. I guess it'll have to be strength training. I have pics on my Ipad - but not sure if there are the right size for uploading. I'll post in my blog when I get a chance. Good luck everyone!

I hope you don't mind Blanda - I am stealing your quote for my blog title - Operation Snuff the Fluff! LOVE IT! Dimples, please, help yourself! We're on a mission. My coffee is black this morning. I will not cry. I'm going to HTFU and just say goodbye to the sinfully delicious, but over-used splenda and French vanilla Coffeemate. I'm coaching soccer today, and I'm alone with the hooligans with husband at Air Guard drill. I HOPE I'll have enough energy after to hit the family room at the gym with them. If I'm lucky, the two treadmills won't be occupied. Gotta get the extra nubby tires put on my MTB too at some point for the off-road duathlon tomorrow. Have a great evening! |

Member 44 | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge Round 2: The Holidays Cheers Laura - I am having two red wine tonight. It is my agreed to weekend indulgance. I had hummis and veggies for a snack and kept my day at 1400cal with the wine. My scale said 149 this morning with BF at 35.4% which seems high I think it is off but we shall see if it goes down. Everyone seems nice and motivated. I am enjoying this week and the change. I mainly cut out simple carbs and am tryimng for 5-7 fruits and veg a day

Master 1531 TORONTO | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge Round 2: The Holidays I just saw that someone updated their blog with this inspiring statement so thought I'd post it here as it seems to resonate with us all: Every bite I eat and every step or move I make is a CHOICE about what kind of life I want to live from here on - may I make healthful choices! Congrats to everyone on a strong start to this challenge! I think the Friday weigh in is SOOOO much better than Monday. Personally - when I see that number on the scale I'm more mindful of it as I start making choices. Whereas Monday - it's too much time gone by and you can justify saying "Well I had a good week - this little bite won't do much..." and then poof - Monday weigh in failure! Also if you are like me - your longer workouts are on the weekend so I'm just a swollen mess by Monday!! |

Expert 913 Lost in the Evergreens | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge Round 2: The Holidays Good day today. Stepped away from the danish and coffee cake at breakfast. Tasty oriental chicken salad for lunch. Best of all no cookies. Even though I know there is a cliff bar in my run bag it's still there. I'm saving it for Sundays 18 mile long run. For dinner I had turkey chunks in red sauce over garlic infused brocclii. Two days eating clean. Thanks for the support. Lets rock this course. Mark |

Master 2177 | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge Round 2: The Holidays Great job so far, guys! Had my off-road duathlon this morning and had a super fun time. Small event. Maybe about 50 people, and I came in dead last, haha! I'm slow to begin with on the bike, but then the chain came off the thingy twice! Took me a while to fix it the 1st time because the chain was all tangled up. I was so proud of myself for fixing it though, so kept going even though I fell way behind. I actually passed a few people on the run portion, but then the chain came off again, arrgh! Had a blast though and everyone knew it was my first mountain bike experience so they were so supportive, cheering me on and actually waiting for me to get in before they did the awards ceremony. Awww... the biking through the jungle was amazing. Muddy as heck, bumpy with all the rocks and tree roots. I was flying through it any chance I got. I felt like a kid again! No fear at all after the initial lap. The only injury I got was during my warm up when my foot slipped off the peddle and it banged my shin. Totally in love with mountain biking! Hope you're all having a great weekend! |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge Round 2: The Holidays Ok finally all the visitors are gone and life is back to normal around here... Starting weight is 148. I took measurements but now for the life of me can't find the notebook I wrote them down in. James did clean the bedroom so I may need to ask him if he's seen it. I'll post those once I track the notebook down. I'm starting tomorrow. I bought a new Jillian Michaels DVD and plan on doing that 5 times a week. Since I joined the Run and Bike challenges for November I also need to get in 25 run miles and 720 minutes on the bike. I'm working on my diet... it's not great but it's better than where it was a month ago. |

Member 44 | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge Round 2: The Holidays Had a great day today ate well and swam 750m and ran a 12k then moved the kids into the bigger room that was an office and moved the office to their room. The move with cleaning walls and vacuuming took 5 hours so burned some more calories there. Tomorrow is an off day for sure. Just found a tape mesure in the move so I will post stats tomorrow. Here are my starting pics. Would like to see that midsection disappear. I have started situps again as well. Have never gotten that pouch down since having the twins. |

Master 2177 | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge Round 2: The Holidays Marcia: Oh, goodness, I thought such things only happen to me! Sorry it happened to you, but it did make me feel not so alone. Definitely want to do this more often! Micheal: You can do it! I've heard great results just giving up soda. Emma: I've been happy with Jillian Michael's workouts. Great for strengthen up! Good luck with all the challenges! I have a run one going on too. Tina: Looks like you're pretty close already! Cameron: I promise to read your daily snake (eeek!) lessons. I may not be able to look at one for long, but it wouldn't hurt me to learn about them. Monday went by pretty quickly. Got a 5 mile run in. Not impressed with my result, especially because I was hoping to PR in this Sunday's half marathon. Oh well. I'll try my best! Good morning to you all! Good luck with this week's health and fitness challenges. |
