I think Phil said it perfectly... Oy Vay!

Not sure why the newlyweds get a bad wrap. They are one of my top teams for this race.

Yeah, but hey...if they were not in Phil's pile yet it's fair game!

I know they do but he had to really try to find out what she was carrying cause she wasn't telling him. I do not like when they form alliances and stuff on this show but they way he found out the correct board was definitely not a two way street.

Most of them seemed to figure it out pretty quick.  I think a lot of the "other" pictures were so goofy that this one stood out?  Had to be harder for the later groups...I mean, when the first group went in there had to be 9 of that same picture!  I doubt any other picture was repeated 9 times!

Hey, he offered to work with her and give her the win, she refused.  At that point, she should have covered it up.  She was walking around with it in plain view.  I thought he was smart, and I would do the same.   It was not cheating or breaking the rules, it was smart play

I thought he asked her and she said "we get the win" and He said no. Then he bobbed and weaved to see what she had... It wasn't in plain view

I am not sure what was said, but I agree I would have also looked.  I wouldn't have been able to resist at least to confirm my choice.

But wow, it was really painful to watch the mistakes that the surfers made.   Really painful.  She was definitely thinking deep thoughts at the end of that one.  Phil is hysterical!

I think my favorites are Pam and Winnie.  They seem to be go-getters and pretty smart.     I am really impressed how the derby moms plowed through their task - I would have complained up a storm!  I am sure they were exhausted.

I just watched it.  He asked for help, she said "We'll go first, you go second" he said "No way", and then she left.  That is when he did the crazy maneuvers to see her board anyway.   Okay, that was jerky, I forgot the details.   He should have minded his own business, although in the moment I may still do the same...

Unless she was covering it up it was in plain view.  And he was clearly looking for it, if she didn't realize it, that's on her.  Poor play by her, good play by him.  Still don't see what the problem is with that.

Ah, I had it the other way

Still, no problems with it.  If it's a visual challenge, then you have the responsiblity to hide whatever it is that's visible.  The nly rule was they could not look at Phil's boards

I do not label this as a visual challenge though, and if she said ok, here it is then no problems.  I thought he was out of line personally

Exactly.  Prior to the mat she essentially offered to work together as long as she got to get the "win" and he came in second.  He refused that deal.  IMHO after that if she doesn't cover her work it's her bad...

finally caught up last night....we both thought it was hilarious when spiky blond boy shrugged about not using the express pass and said 'I don't look back, I never try to learn from my mistakes' - and Phil was trying so hard to keep from laughing the whole time.

They got to the challenge and another team was still there, couldn't they have just used the express pass right then? The girl asked him and he said he didn't want to, that maybe another team was out there still, and didn't really listen when she told him he was wrong.

Well really they should have used the express pass when the first half of their detour went bad.  But then they had a second chance when they showed up at the last task with another team.  I think blond spikey kid just really thought he could beat that other team...I'm not sure how fast the sun sets but it looks like a decent amount of time passed between when Chuck (is it chuck?) got the right surfboard (it was still very daylight IMHO) and when spikey finally picked the right board (it was DARK dark).  Spikey was basically being greedy...he even said earlier in the show he wanted to extract as much value from the express pass as possible.  Instead of using the express pass to save them to live another day he was hoping to use it to win a leg later.  Sort of like getting voted out on Survivor with an idol in your pocket.  Gambled and lost.

While I get the mentality (you don't want to waste the express pass), you need to be prepared to use it to save yourself...

Chuck and Wynona got lucky that the father and son had to bail....I think their time is limited.  They are too consistently near the back of the pack to survive much longer I think...she should have done that roadblock though...he's been doing them all and I don't think that is allowed!  At some point she needs to do a roadblock.

Not much else to say about this episode I guess....

I said the same thing.  I don't think she has done a roadblock yet.  They don't get any easier.

Personally, I hatred seeing Communism celebrated on the Amazing Race!

I am pulling for the hockey brothers.

I thought the YouTube people missed a chance to U-Turn Max and wife, especially after they talked about how they wanted to punch them in the nose for laughing at the two that went out with an express pass!
