MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Originally posted by ceilidh Originally posted by kns57 Dee - Hope the storms die down. The job is wonderful. So far everything is good. I am learning as much as I can, asking lots of questions and going to lots of meetings. Those are really good for listening right now and learning. At a couple of them I have been able to contribute, and that makes me feel good. I am slowing meeting the other librarians in the building (no way I will know them all because there are so many), but the ones I meet are interesting. Some have been here forever, others are fairly new, so it is a nice healthy mix. Ann - Sorry that you still need the heat pack. Hope that it feels better soon. Glad that you can WFH when things like this happen. Robin - Vet trips aren't any fun. I thought you had just taken a cat to the vet a couple of weeks ago. Well, I guess that was Mom's cat. Do you have three cats? For some reason I keep thinking you just had the doggie. Ah, the mind. What a wonderful tool when it works, what a hindrance when it doesn't. No workout for me today as we have a motorcycle meeting this evening, but I will be getting in a workout tomorrow night. I am glad you are still liking the new job. Keep it up! Yes, I have 3 cats. One we rescued as a teeny kitten thrown from a car in Charlotte. One was abandoned at our house. One was Jim's Dad's cat that we inherited. The last trip to the vet was for Mom's cat. (Who I get to put in a carrier and drive with for 12 hours in two days). Fun times. ' Now that I think about it, there were a few cats there when I visited, but the doggie took the center stage for remembrance. LOL |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Good day gang. I need to remember to hop on BT when I first get to work. I might actually find a couple of you here at that time. TOM!!! - It is so good to see you back. Need to find out where you are. I used to live in the SF bay area, and I hear you are up in that direction. Today I am planning on getting a bike session in, and if lucky a run/walk. Tomorrow I'll fit in something between packing for the 2-Day. That is this weekend, so Fri/Sat and Sun will be spent on the motorcycles. I should have put that down on my goal for the challenge, LOL. I'm going to take a short walk on campus right now. If I get in a mile, I'll log it. |

oops! This apparently didn't post last night:
RAWR! I say rawr!!! It's good to be back in the village a bit. Someone tell Tom I've missed him. and then tell yourselves the same thing! I'm feeling better about life in general right now. I got a little walk in yesterday, visited with some friends, got some annual skills updates done at work, actually got to talk to the hubby on Facetime for a while this morning, and I fed my kids a hot meal for dinner, got The Boy to get some of his make-up schoolwork done, and The Girl is catching up on her work as well. AND I climbed up on a ladder and changed out the battery on the smoke alarm on the vaulted ceiling (did I mention it also happens to be over the stairwell?). Yep. Feeling pretty good. Tomorrow is pedicure with the wife of hubby's business partner, then hopefully a short run. |

That is one of the front entrance to the library. The front structure is 4 stories tall and my office is on the second floor. The entrance is on the second floor too. The roof line in the back is the 10 story tower where all the books. Originally posted by kns57 Okay, not sure why one picture is showing and the other two are not. Elite 3144 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Hey gang! Day two of my "construction" goal is done. Ann - This week I'm helping our work crews with getting our modular offices ready to go out to our customers. I.e. painting, cleaning, and all sorts of prep stuff. "Highlight" of today was pulling up bad tiles. Tomorrow will start with laying the new ones. That'll be fun. Or something. Amy - missed you too! I hope everything is going well up there. Spending a lot of my time right now keeping my boy and girl entertained until their school starts back up. This is being made difficult by the fact that Comcast apparently takes two weeks to get customers started up. Hence the no internet at home (or cable for that matter). Friday can't come soon enough. Kendra - great to see you too! That new office space looks nice. I'll try and post a picture of my new office once I'm able to get one to upload. OK, time to tend to furry people and then short people. Have a great night everyone! |

Robin, I imagine you are getting ready for a drive to Fla soon. Safe journeys. Tom, it is so good to see you back in the village. Can't wait to hear what you are up to. Amy, hoping that this is not going to backfire, but how is the house coming along? Dee, all quiet on the western front? |

I have a looong day at work today and then an activity group with granddaughter this evening. I will be beat by the time I get home again! But I have been enjoying taking the granddaughter on Wed evenings. What kind of activities? It's a kids group at church called AWANA. It is nationwide and non-denominational. She is really enjoying it. At the pre-school level they do crafts and coloring activities. Story time with puppets and a Bible story and songs. Then games and snacks. They really keep them moving. She has a workbook for home that has stories and simple Bible verses to learn. The kids get stickers in the book for activities completed. As they complete different units, they earn patches to go on their vest. She is really getting a kick out of it. Except for "red light, green light" game. She is not really getting the hang of it except to realize that she is not winning! LOL |

The one here that the rest of the family kiddos goes to is on Thursday nights, that's when Keri has soccer practice right now. If she doesn't have basketball practice on Thursday nights she'll go this winter. |
