I think we should all get a free pass for Mother's Day.  My wife wanted to BBQ after church, then visit her Mom, then go for a walk holding hands.  No time really left to train.  Mom's come first.

Got in a nice 21 mile ride today.  First outdoor ride after all the winter trainer sessions.  It's always interesting to see how that first real ride goes after that.  Averaged over 20.3 mph so pretty happy.

p.s. had semi-annual post cancer scans today.  Negative!!  I have a season to look forward to.  Woot!! Woot!!

your walk was 15 minutes right? claim it - claim it

last night was supposed to be a swim/bike double, but my butt wasn't getting into gear...got to the pool to swim last night, to find that it was closed due to thunder/lightening - they have to wait 30 minutes before reopening and I wasn't willing to stick around and wait

so I did an hour on the KK - after 3.5 hours on Sunday - my butt was NOT happy with me

soo hot yesterday - I know I shouldn't complain after the winter we had - but it went from like 50 degrees to 90+ in the span of 2 days...I didn't end up leaving for my run until like 7:30pm last night so that it cooled down a little (but not a lot)

In the middle of a VERY peachy vacation... Rented a cabin near the smokies and have been hiking my butt off daily. Tomorrow is supposed to rain all day, we shall see if we can squeeze in a peach.

i'm jealous

had a tough but peachy swim last night - I think the pool had just done the chemicals because it was really chlorinated compared to normal

Man was my weekend peachy!  I raced a sprint tri on Saturday and an Olympic on Sunday.  I did very well in both of them.  I'll post reports on them soon.

Edit:  I slacked on keeping logs up to date, so I'll get my workouts from last week posted as well.

Had a nice, peachy weekend.  Long run of 13.1 miles on Saturday.  Brick Sunday of 16 mile ride/ 3.5 mile run at Oly goal pace.  Felt great.  It was forecast to be a rainy weekend but after morning clouds it was beautiful sunny days.

Now of course, I am dying to know what that item on the honey- do list was.....

I was peachy, but not fabulously peachy. I hope to keep it up this weekend, but we are having our annual 3 day Memorial Day bash and, well, workouts are usually not high on the list. Unless late night gabbing and singing and laughing are workouts.

Singing? Do tell. That sounds interesting.

Scott, what was the honey do?

After that one missed day, I've stayed peachy. But more importantly, this morning's run was awesome! This entire month, I haven't been feeling it but have been trying to fake it til I felt it. This morn, I felt it - the happiness, the joy. Went back to a route I haven't been run in a while. Nice to check up on the gardens, houses, etc. Mr. Joe's widow is selling their place and that was a downer but it's understandable.

That is fantastic!

I had a weekend of doing nothing training-wise. totally intended. We have a 4 day gathering that has been going on since a bunch of us graduated college (more than 20 years ago). Today's peach is cleaning up the mess, doing laundry and getting ready for real world again.

I had 2 non-peachy days last week - one on Wednesday - was supposed to be a swim, but thunder/lightening had the pool closed (AGAIN!) and then Friday because the coach gave me the day off, and it was a struggle just to drag my butt outta bed! lol! but I made up for it this weekend - 45 miles on the bike on Saturday, 6 mile run on Sunday and then 86 miles on the bike yesterday

I got to participate in day 1 of the Ride2Recover with wounded warriors as they start their 5 day trek from DC to VA Beach and then turned around and rode back to DC

that is great! How fun to be able to do that. I think you more than made up for your non-peachy days with all of that time in the saddle. (and run).

Most people believe that running barefoot is dangerous. Certainly, depending upon the surface, they would be correct. However, there is some suggestion that running barefoot may reduce injuries.

The Boulder Peak bike course is legendary. It is, literally and named as such, one of the toughest bike legs in the country.
