yeah Heidi is IN from the bike! her pace was a bit slower of planned but I think the swim took something out of her (which was also VERY slow for her) Oh well, the run is her thing so I am hoping she can post a strong Mary.

come on Heidi!

I thought the same thing but Brad was almost an hour ahead of Kristin at the first split.  Maybe he started with her and she told him to go ahead.  I hope that she makes the bike cutoff.

Ack! The slow updates on splits is killing me!

A friend of mine (Niki) is out there and is having trouble on the bike. Another friend is up there jockstrapping and I called her and she said Niki was sick at mile 20 in the med tent and wanted to quit. She kept going and got to mile 56 and wanted to quit then too, but kept going. It took her 4 hrs to do the first half, and she didn't take in any nutrition. She started eating a little after that and I know she's made it to mile 70. I'm just hoping she starts to feel better and makes it safely (no severe med issues).

We need good thoughts for Niki #2187! Be strong and keep fighting girl!

Oh no!  Poor Niki ..   Sending a ton of good vibes out to my fellow Tucson Tri Girl! Keep me posted on her Elaine when you can!

Holly has strict instructions to call me as soon as she knows something. Niki's swim was slower than usual, and she spent a ton of time in T1 warming up because she was really cold. Then the problems on the bike. I've been doing the math and she needs to keep a 13.09 mph average to make the 5:30PM cutoff. Poor Niki...after 5 flats at IMAZ and now sick at IMCDA I'm sure she's wondering if she'll ever have a good time on the bike in an IM.

Is the only run info we get when they finish?? It's a two loop course, but I don't see anyone getting half mary splits.

Aaron...I can't believe Haley won...and that's a funny looking 'her'. But whatever.

Seriously, goofy swim - I talked to a non-participant that swam the course right afterward, said it was rediculous. Props to everyone for their performances thus far...

And big props to Aaron, Jorge, Shannon, and everyone for tracking the folks in. That's what makes BT that much cooler. The care factor.

Poor Niki -- keep fighting girl!

Paul put in a kick bike split!!!

Seems like most people had a slower than expected swim.....or at least 3 that I am watching and sorta am familiar with what they could/should swim.....

KEEP KICKING butt BT'ers!

What was goofy about the swim???

I just looked at the weather at CdA online, doesn't look like it would have been overly choppy from wind....pleasant temps for riding the bike....BUT it does look like for the peeps out there running after 5pm they'll have a 10% - 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms between 5 and 8 pm.....just a 50% chance of light showers between 8 and 11.

GO BTers!

Just got the call! Niki is in and off the bike! WOOHOO! Holly is going out on the run course now to see her start the run.

The website doesn't even have her 2nd bike segment posted, so it's lagging pretty bad. It may be lagging for some of our BTers too.

Does anyone know how Scott Rigsby is doing? They don't have any updates after his first bike segment!

Apparently very chilly this AM (40's), a bit windy, choppy - race officials gave the option to do a duathlon for those worried about the conditions.
