6/14 as of today...did a 70 mile ride with BTer Max including climbing a Mount....2.2 uphill very steep but I did it....very fun & challenging.

I saw some Lotto riders in the main front group on Tour today. I need to check out how they all did.

Tomorrow and Monday, one day I'm riding 35-40 and the other resting...we'll see tomorrow.

Ok kids, I've filled the spread sheet in to the best of my ability.
You can check out the results with the attached document.
We have ridden 29.03% of our goal. Woo hoo.

PS I upped my goal to 14 stages rather than 12.

Newbie Barloworlder blasts the competition -- alone!!! Here at BT, we're doing it together ... watch our wake. Overzealous to the point of impropriety ... and victory.

Hi - there has been a few requests in the last 24 hours to STOP posting live TDF updates in team threads. This is due to a lot of people wanting to watch the action later in the day WITHOUT knowing the results.

Would enough people be interested in taking the live action related discussions to another thread out of the team threads to avoid this issue? Team leaders can you please let me know?

I must admit Im probably the most guilty of this as I genuinely want teams to know whats happening with their pro counterparts to really get into it... and with me watching it live til 2am then heading straight it bed I get REALLY excited and post results...

But... its more a time difference related head spin. I totally understand having to delay watching the action... I know not everyone can devote their whole life to TDF action for a month!

So my suggestion... is this....

1) No results from the previous nights stage will be posted in any Team thread until the next days stage starts... giving everyone 24 hours to watch the action or at least KNOW what to expect

2) Set up a seperate TDF Challenge - Live Action thread for teams to talk about their pro riders... (if there is enough interest)

3) If teams are happy to have stage updates posted in their Team thread let me know and I will continue - otherwise 24 hour code of silence applies to EVERYONE taking part in the challenge

What do you all think?

Hey, all - I'm back from vacation, still at 3/9, but ready to catch up now that I'm back in training mode. (Just need to run the bike past LBS to make sure the trip didn't cause any unseen harm...since it was packed in the back of the SUV with the camping gear!)

Rode with my women's bike team in the 2nd fastest group (first time in the 18-19 mph group)...it is so fun to go blowing by folks in a paceline of all women in every shape and size.

Since I crashed this was the first time I have been back to paceline riding and I was okay. I think I waited just enough time but not to much. These women rock and make it wonderful.

Now to decide if I'm buying some zipp 404 race wheels on ebay in a few minutes...all these weird bike related things....

Ok as I mentioned earlier I have set up a thread to discuss the results of your team in the tour... its in the challenge forum and I suggest you use it to talk about the teams successes and make sure everyone else see's it!!

As I suggested earlier there is to be no talking about the previous stage in team threads UNTIL the next stage commences.... (24 hours ish)

Please get in on the action its been very entertaining so far, and remember to take it in the spirit of fun and team spirit it is intended.

Happy Cycling

Aloha all,

sorry to have been so quiet so far. Two long weekends away and lots of work inbetween have made it more difficult than I would have liked.

So I am up to 5/15. A couple of rides behind where I would like but I forgot I was away so much when I signed up. However it is more of a challange for me now. Hope to make it into paris for 15/15.

Was at physio on hip last night and usually puts me out of action for 1-2 days but I feel great and have physio permission so will get back on tonight as I watch tour highlights for 6/15 I hope.

I know my distance and speeds are poor compared to many but in my defence I put in 80 to 100 % effort so they are fair rides for me at this stage.

Look forward to riding into Paris with you all. Would be cool to go past the finish all holding hands.

6/10, next ride should be Friday.

Unfortunately, I have hardly been swimming for the past couple of weeks.  I need to get in the pool, too.

It is yet to be decided on many "stages" I will ride this weekend. Might try to obtain more of a work/LIFE/training balance.
