Morning Purps and welcome bigscarymonster. You're on the best team!   I have to lay low again today.  I guess my early nyquil night didn't really do me any good. I feel worse. I can usually work through colds but this has really affected my ears and it hurts like farking hell. I hope to be better by tomorrow after I jam some vitamins into my system today and lay down for a few.

Looks like everyone else is doing great though!

Morning PPE's. Hope everyone's Wednesday is starting out right. I've got a 3 miler on tap for today. My ankle still feels a little funny sometimes after the weird landing on the curb yesterday. It feels completely fine, no big deal, then all of a sudden I twist funny or crouch weird and I get the twinge. Anyone know if icing it today (I iced it yesterday, too) would be beneficial?

Really I think you should take the month off and let the thing heal

Seriously though... ice it, take an ibuprophene and go easy on it. Little pulls and strains can get worse. Just give it a day or two. (coming from a guy you sprains an ankle at least once a month. What can I say, I have loose ankles)

Eh, still a bit sore. Took a swim today, had a run planned for the evening, but it is POURING BUCKETS outside, and I just haven't the fortitude for an in-the-dark-in-the-rain run today. However! I have to be at the boathouse at 6:30 am tomorrow (bugger!) so I'm going to run to that, so that will be an easy 3-3.5 depending on the route. If I feel good after coming off the water and if the 'betes cooperates, I'll run home the long way (along the river b/c its about the only place in Glasgow that's flat!).

I'm totally digging the support though. I'm kicking myself for not getting involved in challenges before now!

It's very appropriate that I'm on a Purple Team since I'm doing the Nike Woman's Marathon for Team in Training in a few weeks! And TNT'ers wear purple!

I've been doing triathlons for many moons, though the past two years I've not done much.  (injuries and life) I'm a walker at the moment, and that's how I'll be covering my miles.  I hope to start running for real again in the next few months, and become a tri-geek again.

Morning!
Hope everyone is have a great day so far. I'm thinking I'm going to stay off of running for one more day, rest up the ankle just a little more. I don't want to compromise my marathon plan, and tomorrow is supposed to be a 9 miler. The bad part about having the job I have is that I'm never off my feet, and I don't really get to rest. The good part is taking care of a bunch of slobbery dogs is good for the spirit.

Lynn,

Thanks it is great....GO PURPLE!! and I like the quote.  By the way did you know you have an accent ? Love it too. My Hubby thought I was listening to NPR...they have a Celtic music show on sometimes and the lady that does the talking has a similar accent.

Have a great night.
