Headed to the baseball field...we have to win 4 of the next 4 to make the playoffs...That is a possibility...if the Dumba$$ pitching coach doesn't screw things up for us

Swimming tomorrow morning and meeting with a former co-worker of mine who may be the fastest fireman I have ever known (2:26:10 Marathon....WOW)  He is going to help me with my plan for my Mary next January...I am STOKED.

Love you Ladies and we shall talk tomorrow.

now tell us how you really feel about the pitching coach!?! LOL

Hi everyone,

I've been getting a lot of questions about penalties for the losers. The two teams with the lowest overall percentages for the month will have to change their avatar to something with a flower (April showers bring May flowers...). -Jen

I think it HAS to be a PANSIE...somehow a rose, or something elegant, just doesn't say "LOSER" like a Pansie does.

Just a thought.

thanks for the smiles Steve! you are always the best! love it! PANSIES! I feel that way today!

That's pretty good.  I had to go and look them up.  They're kind of pretty.  That being said, let's go team!  We don't want to be labeled "pansies" for the whole month of May!

Pansies are pretty!

yes indeed...but not as my avatar....would rather enjoy them in my garden!

givemashot - 2008-04-23 1:03 PM Uh oh. We better not take too much time to stop and smell the, uh, pansies! Maybe we all beter put in up to our 110% of each goal, just in case all the other teams do the same. We'd hate to be in the bottom two. Even though the pansises are pretty...

that is right....was just on the spreadsheet and I can see that everyone is working hard!! kiu!

you have never heard of a fast flowing lava....so with that said, we will continue to flow and flow and flow until we roll over all those other unsuspecting teams! kiu gals and Steve! doing great!!!!

Hi everyone

I was excited to see that you said hi...but see that you are not online! DANG! I did get the job I interviewed for....will be working part time for the city of San Mateo...and part time for the City of Redwood City....both are contract...but that is ok...because the DH has great benefits for me! I do not start till May...so, as soon as I feel better, watch out pool, bike and run!!!! but for now....I feel poopsy again! I think I overdid it by running this morning!!! and so I am going to eat my HOMEMADE chicken noodle soup, take some nyquil, more echinacea, a zinc tablet, and maybe even a shot of whiskey! and go to bed! and it is only 4pm....nite all!

Due to the crud, I'm going to take a few days off of training. I have permission to lower my goals proportionately: 4days off/30days in the month=13%. I'll get back into it on Monday. Go Lava!

That's a good idea.  I've also gotten a suggestion for a buttercup (a la "suck it up, buttercup".  Maybe I can photoshop the two together and make a loser avatar.

Alright! I just made a big dent in my swim goal this morning and will be hitting the trail for a run this afternoon. I think I might do the Maverick Stampede this weekend, since that way my 5-mile training run will be a race and count for double! I think I'll nail over 100% on the run and it looks like I might do the same on the swim as well (knock on wood). Go Lavidians!

Have a great training story to relate...but have to go right now...my marathon fireman buddy just called and wants to meet so we can lay out my plan for the Disney marathon in Jan......I am soooooo stoked.

My PR for a half-mary is 1:59:58...so why do I go to a guy that has run a sub2:30 full mary for advise...I guess for the same reason I have been married for 33 years....I love the abuse.

Later you Lovely Lava Ladies.

I have to lower my goals since I was sick so much this month. ~snif, cough, sneeze~

Beth put my new numbers on the spreadsheet.  Today is a running day so I hope I will feel good enough to hit the pavement.  It's really beautiful here today!

OK.  Off to vacuum my house!  Cheers!

Julie, I command you to rest!  Take it easy today, you got a race coming up.  If you are feeling better tomorrow maybe just an easy jog to stay lose for the race.  But don't overdo before your race....We know you will finish with 110% in all your disciplines.....even swimming, you wouldn't let me down would you?
