Teejaay - 2012-10-09 10:45 AM Ahhhh. It's leafblower chainsaw woodchipper day ....so much for my relaxing, all the windows and doors open, morning.

This statement makes me sweat, all boy things(IMO).....can you call a "helper"?

Oh, I'm not doing it. The landscapers are making a freakin noise fest out there. Every Tuesday.... I can't believe there is that much flora and foliage to handle out there every week!!!

We used to have a neighbor that would have has lawn mowed and trimed and blown every other Saturday at 7am...  Pizzed me off.  45 minutes of noise

Well, it IS tuesday.

I'm training the FNG. He is driving me nuts.

Pirate walks into a bar with a ships wheel sticking out of the waistband of his pants.
Bartender says, "Hey, what's with the ships wheel down your pants."
Pirate says, "Arrrg, it's driving me nuts."

What's the job?

Insurance sales and assistants for business and personal insurance.  I know that it is not the sexiest job/industry in the world, but come on.  Most of the people that we get that send resumes are barely qualified to work at the grocery store...

Maybe you're not getting applicanats because most people would rather jam a dull rusty butter knife in their eye socket than sell insurance?

Where/how are you posting it?
One of our peer companies in town has been having really good luck with Facebook ads for jobs. Sounds weird, but Facebook has the formula where it searches for key words on profiles and targets the ads, they actually work on me! We've also just started listing jobs on LinkedIn, which is the FIRST place I go to look... they also have the "jobs you might be interested in" thing based on my resume/profile.

We tend to use the traditional newspaper stuff, but recently chose Craiglists (its dirt cheap).  Ive been looking into Linkedin's services, but yet to try Facebook.  Im not the biggest user of Facebook, so I never thought of that.  THanks, Lisa, and I will give them a look today.

We found our last two salespeople through LinkedIn.  That method worked much better than the headhunters we were using.

GomesBolt - 2012-10-08 8:24 PMI know Crossfit is the best way to getting in shape, but after 8 years wrestling and 8 years in the Marine Corps, I have no desire to do calisthenics until I pass out. You who do that stuff have my respect and admiration.

I had just gotten into doing CF competitions before my heart issue popped up. I am looking forward to getting back into CF, now that I have hopefully gotten it fixed. I've been sidelined for a few months, so it promises to be "fun."
Yeah but being in the Air Force you have to do SOMETHING to stay in shape.

Are you suggesting that drinking a pot of coffee while sitting in a chair for nine hours every day is not an effective physical fitness plan?

Drinking a pot of coffee is hard work. Take that away and you're not exercising at all!

I also get to count all the trips to and from the coffee machine.

So my wife's hot friend told her to text me last night that they were laying bed together drinking wine and talking and nibbling on dark chocolates...

Like that would turn me one...  Icky girls.

I'm kind of sad that had to be her friend that suggested it and the the wife clarified that in her text that it was HER FRIEND that suggest texting that...  I'm also sad there were no pics...  and I wasn't there...

I'm sure most of you don't get the channel.  But there is a series on Cinemax called Strike Back...

If you like sex scenes with hot chicks, guns, special ops against terrorists and a lot of "f" bombs and action.  It's right up your ally.  I have been catching up on the previous seasons.  Good stuff.

Sounds kind of like Homeland, except for the lots of action part.
