As I said earlier, I stayed in Lumberton at the Hampton Inn (owned by Hilton). It is 30 minutes easy drive to the race site. At that early in the morning (betwen 5-5:30AM) I saw 10-20 cars total. The Hampton Inn is the same as all Hampton Inns. I was on the ground floor so my truck was literally backed up to my room door. It is two stories with all rooms opening to the outside.

If you guys are serious about White Lake this is my 2 cents.  Either find a house to rent or stay at the beach in Wilmington and drive up.  Even though the town of White Lake has very limited accomodations in the motel department, there are fabulous beach vacation homes surrounding the lake.  See if any of them are available to rent.   Or, stay in Wilmington somewhere by the beach and drive to the race.  It is about an hours drive on race morning but you will have a much nicer time staying at the beach for the rest of your vacation.  Personally I'd stay away from the cabins at White Lake.  Unless you rent a nice RV.........  

I feel terrible today.  Physically ill type terrible.  Please remind me this is how I am suppose to feel during taper and that it's not all that nasty lake water I swallowed on Sunday.

Totally normal... I always feel out of sorts during taper. Don't fret.

Of course, I suppose it could be gastroenteritis brought on by fecal coliform...

Just kidding... you're fine. What would a taper be without nagging pains and worrying??

Terrible how? Like you eat and have to run to the bathroom?  If so, it could be the lake water.  That happens to me at least once or twice every year.  It'll pass in plenty of time for the race.  Just drink lots of H20 so you don't get dehyrated.

Actually that will be after the race. Rumor has it the river has a fecal contamination being cleaned up.  They say it never really happened but.........

This and the discussion on slowtwitch about peeing while swimming has really got me thinking about the lake swim in this weekend's tri.  Sometimes ignorance is bliss....

I just wanted to post a follow up. I missed chatting with everyone here. I have been insanely busy this term with school and with my new job. I have been running a lot more lately and I am really improving that. The pool was shut down for 2 weeks so I can finally get back in to that. The biking has been a lot tougher to squeeze in. I have been steady on the diet and I am under 260 lbs now which is pretty awesome. how is everyone doing?

After looking for months, my LBS found what I wanted late last week.  Got fitted on her last night and took her for a ride on the trainer this AM.  Man is it nice to not be all strecthed out.

Now, we need a name....people!

I was waiting for a chance, I didn't have to wait long. 

remove the IM wisconsin thing yesterday and see if it goes back to normal.  it has to do with some object you added and as far as i can tell that's the most recent.

if does go back when you remove it, add it back and resize it be selecting it and dragging one of the corners to the center of it.

Didn't have a chance to take a real picture yet for you guys to rip on everything in the background......maybe tonight!
