Thanks Flip I appreciate the advice!

You want a video of me turning, sanding and finishing wood??
There are lots of them on YouTube. People must be making money from them. Have you joined a woodworker's forum? I check SawMillCreek.org occasionally.

My Grandpa used to turn pens.  It's still one of my most favorite possessions that I have from him.  He even willed down his lathe to me but I will never get it (long story)...  along with a lot of his patterns and jigs.

I was going to get into pens, chess pieces and these cool checkerboard bowls he made... similar to these:  http://bowls.mikeswoodwork.net/2010/05/segmented-bowl-serving-set-mahogany.html

I kept saying I wanted a new crafty hobby, maybe I should get a lathe and reconsider doing that.  Hmmmm

Oh, TAN, off to file paperwork and change locks today. Someday, I'll make intelligent decisions about who I date. Someday.

In other news, a much needed trip to California commences this afternoon!

Yuck, sorry you are dealing with that.

What drew you to him in the beginning?  What did you like about him?

I knew he was a little crazy, but he was honest and straightforward. Attractive. Not clingy. Seemed pretty secure in himself. Had hobbies, so I wasn't the center of his life.

Except without the happy ending part.

Sorry you were taken when I was single plus I am too old and short.

That is too bad. I had my locks changed 3 times in 2012 so I can't speak much differently then you from that time.

Have a great trip and a great race.

Its nice to know I'm not the only one that deals with stuff like this.

But the timing is awful. Race week.

I have eye'd up a ton of your work on facebook. But every time I do I am broke. Not that it is expensive. It is just very neat. I show it to my GF all the time.

Thanks for checking on the FB stuff.  I have been making a ton of silverware rings and bracelets.  I have two people working on some new running and biking pendants, but the company I was using is no longer in business, so I have to find a new laser cutter for all of my stainless pieces.

Like it.

This is not a joke just a quote that speaks to many of my endeavors, particularly triathlon.

G. K. Chesterton:

"A man must love a thing very much if he not only practices it without any hope of fame and money, but even practices it without any hope of doing it well."

I am too far away or I could get the shop across the road to do it. They cut a ton of our stainless prototype blanks for us.

Thanks for thinking about it.  I am still searching, but most shops are wanting high volume and my art designs are not high volume.

took 15 minutes off my last half marathon yesterday, no big deal.  (also, it was 50 degrees cooler, which i'm sure had a greater effect than anything to do with my training or athletic ability...)

    Happy St. Pats day everyone.

Turns out I am the only one with spirit here in management wearing a Green 4 leaf clover tie.

Not sure if I feel out of place here doing this or screw it I am the one that is willing to do this. More the later I think.

You probably don't look as crazy as me. Kaki pants golf shirt wacky big green tie that stands out like a sore thumb people didn't even wear green here.
