All,

Thanks for keeping up with us today.  I wish I could have brought it home, but the flats slowed me so much, and after a 30 minute wait in an aid station for tech support, I realized that on the walk to the station  I lost one of my cleats somehow.

It was a tough day out there for BT.

Props to all the BT'ers that toed the line today.

All, we spoke with Bonnie (mrsfish) and Joe (freeswimming fish) has unfortunatley ended up in medical. He had a really tough day, but he did his best to conquer it today.

Great job today Joe.  Im glad I waited for you in T1 so we could come out together!

How is PirateGirl doing...does it look like she will finish?  I'm guessing she still hasn't gotten to the third run split yet.  Any news from the course itself?

I think the 3'rd split mat is in the ditch Nobody's making it to that one.

Looking at current finishers, I'd guess she's looking at a 16:30 ish finish.

I did some calculations based on her time to the 2nd mat, and she needs to average 15:50 per mile after that 2nd split to make it under 17 hours.  Since her split before that was 17:51 per mile, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

1:40 AM here and I have to get to bed too.  I hate to leave, I've been watching for hours but just haven't been posting here.  Congrats to all those who have finished and to those who tried valiantly but could not make it for one reason or other.  There is no shame in giving your best, no matter what the outcome.  I'll check back in the morning and see how Elaine has done.
