LazyMarathoner - 2008-09-04 10:11 PM Where are you guys running for 12 hours?

It's a 12 hour or 24 hour running race. It's a 5 mile loop that you do as many times as you can.

That sounds cool, I've never heard of a race like that. Where is it?

Outside of Richmond.  It's the 1st weekend of October.  I don't think I want to, but Kristen does.

On my calendar for next year...assuming they keep the 12-hour. I figure if I can't run fast, I can at least run long.

How about you pit-crew my 12-hour run and I pit-crew your 2-mile swim? (Is that even possible? I assume I'm getting the easy job.)

Today is an easy day for me! Oly on Sunday.  I'm thinking a swim, maybe 1700 yd total.  I sat on the trainer for an hour last night with a text book proped on my aero bars! I'm sure I looked like a dork, I'll have to take a pic! :P

enders_shadow - 2008-09-05 7:38 AM Morning, Post-Padder's! Getting myself psyched out about the Oly on Sunday. Like psychotic, not psyched up.

Kristen, you'll do great!  Hoping Hurricane Hannah becomes tropically depressed.  I typically never wish depression on anyone, but considering you're racing this weekend, I think it's justifiable...

Good luck this Sunday, and good luck in Med School.  I started out college in pre-med...does that qualify me in any way?

I think a lot of us will be spending time reading books (maybe not textbooks) on the trainer this winter...

What's everybody else up to this morning?

Easy 10-min warm-up on the treadmill, light stretching and some core work...

And carbo-loading (hee, hee)...picking up race packets for me and my wife at lunchtime...

OK, so... double it again before the middle of the month.
