Thanks, and congrats to you also. I keep criticizing myself for what I perceive to be a poor performance, and I have to keep reminding myself that it was my first race and I didn't actually do as horribly as I feel I did. I went into it unsure if I was going to ever do another (and halfway through the swim I would have said I'll NEVER do another) and knowing it would be a learning experience. I will do at least one more, if not a few each year, and I know that I really need swimming lessons! Yah, it's a base upon which I can improve. Absolutely. |

So I just sent out an email to get friends and family to sponsor me for my charity race this year I'm hoping they pull through like they did last year. Last year, I raised $2500 for cancer research. I'm hoping to do at least that well again. Fingers crossed. I left fundraising REALLY late this year. whoops... |
