Good Morning TAN! Happy Friday!

Nipple chafing is not all it's cracked up to be.  That is all.

I miss nipple chafing.  sigh

Hi BFF

Still no running?

Howdy Cheri

I can run in Jan :-) or when it is warm out side?

How are your nerve symptoms? Have you recovered sensation and muscle strength?  Hope so.  I am still taking B6 and hoping for regeneration of the myelin.  It has been nearly 4 years since surgery.

I am finally done taking all meds, including the nerve medication.  I have 80% of all nerve stimulation back and the growth of the nerves will continue and regenerate.  So still a full recovery is expected by May.

Muscle strength.....I am really weak and lost a lot of strength overall.  Very hard for me to get back and rebuild.

my job is to predict costs for, request quotes, purchase, and install assembly equipment.  one of my integrators just sent me (i think forwarded an email without thinking about it) the spreadsheet they use where the plug in their actual purchase costs, the overhead, the pricing scheme, everything that they build into the price they quote to me.

they are going to get destroyed in negotiations.

Are you concerned about the ethics of having and using that information?

not so much.  nothing on the document says confidential or internal or anything like that and this is why you should use the forward button sparingly.  they know i have it by now and haven't said anything either.  i would feel more tormented if they had asked me to delete it...

You might do even better in negotiations if you told them that you realized the error and had deleted it and not passed the information on.

Then again, I'm a sort of obsessive about honesty and fairness.  It is like I have Tourette's syndrome, I just blurt out the truth.  It hasn't always worked.

I'm semit transparent about our pricing. I explain there a cretain things I can move on and some I can't. I can't just do a pass through cost for things we buy and use to produce their products and explain why. I can move on labor, internal resource costs, etc. My customers see what I've discounted and what I didn't; but don't know my mark-ups or margins. I just explain that, in all fairness, I must mark-up and make some money from pass through.

It's like asking a builder to pass through lumber and nails at his cost and charge you nothing for the time and trouble to get them. The builder would go broke. They've got to make SOME money on those, but his real profit comes in the labor. You can move somewhat on that.

But passing along your spreadsheets? Oops...

Why are you taking B6 (niacin) instead of B9 (folic acid) and B12 (Cobalamine.)?

You can repair myelin but regeneration is rather sketchy at this point in the research efforts as far as I know.  It has been a while since I did any real work in the area though.

we already ask for a certain level of detail in quotes, and do a lot of our own internal research to be on top of what the equipment prices are so we can compare across different vendors on who is low-balling us, who is over charging us, etc.  i get that they need to make money somewhere and i'm not about to take that away, but at least i know where they are way off on estimations and can plan my budget more accurately and hammer on them a little more.

Insert check into pre-paid envelope....

smart arses.  it's my work phone, it's at&t, i have to pay with a credit card, and at&t is telling me all account numbers are 13 digits and therefore the 12 digits i'm looking at here on my bill is not a legit account code.  gosh.

Just trying to help here, below:

I found this from a post somewhere:
"I have called ATT on this 800-645-0005 number.  They do not recognize it as one of their service numbers.  When you call the number it asks you for a 13 digit account number.  There aren't any 13 digit account numbers with ATT."

How do I find my account number online:

Don't pay it. Eventually a nice man will call you and you can give him the CC info.
