Cherries?  No.  Like cherry-flavored things but not the fruit.
Velcro?  No better fastener
Staple guns?  STAPLE FIGHT!!!  (loved these while building theater sets)
Lightning?  Love watching the patterns
Crosswords?  Occasionally as a time waster
Modified Trucks?  "Nice Truck.  Sorry about your penis."
Long drives?  Depends on the destination.  Prefer to ride for long periods instead.
Tea?  Iced with lemon and 2 Sweet-n-Low
cake?  Cheesecake
cooking?  when I have an idea of what I want or I'm cooking for more than just me
giving gifts?  when it is unexpected and it is something that I know they really want
getting Gifts?  Duh.  Free stuff.
Wrapping gifts?  I have a penis, therefore I suck at wrapping.
When you go by a winery and all the rows of vines are perfectly lined up?  Geometric shapes are cool.
Drive Throughs?  Just go inside.  It's faster.
time alone in a coffee shop with a good book?  If I can score the comfy chair.
snow sports?  I once took Downhill Skiing for college credit.
water sports?  I grew up on my dad's ski boat and went to school with Karen Truelove  as a kid (women's world slalom water ski champion).
taking the pits out of avocados?  Whack it with a knife and twist.
multicolored pens?  You mean the 4-color Bic or just a bunch of pens with different colors?  Love 'em both.

No, man...unfortunately not. She flat out sprinted when it jumped at me.
ETA: Forgot to ask you if you ended up using a wetsuit on Saturday or not.

DOH!  Well, maybe you will see her on the trail again.  One day.  After she is married.  With two kids.

These things happen. I've got enough reasons to bang my head on a wall with the one girl I'm kinda seeing now. And around here they don't seem to get married and have two kids, they just have two kids. Hard to meet girls my age around here who don't have at least one already.

Okay, fine, I don't want to get to work yet.

Do you like:

Cherries? Sure, but mashed up somehow. I have food texture issues.
Velcro? Hell yeah. I use it all over my house.
Staple guns? Yep, same here.
Lightning? Pretty cool.
Crosswords? Not for me.
Modified Trucks? Functional mods that get used, sure. Body kits? Why bother?
Long drives? Only when necessary.
Tea? With Chinese food, which is often.
cake? Love cake when it isn't chocolate.
cooking? I'm a good cook and don't mind doing it most of the time.
giving gifts? Only to people I actually care about - a short list.
getting Gifts? Only from my kids. Otherwise can leave 'em.
Wrapping gifts? Can do - how hard is it to fold some paper?
When you go by a winery and all the rows of vines are perfectly lined up? No wineries here.
Drive Throughs? Rarely - don't do fast food other than Chinese.
time alone in a coffee shop with a good book? Chinese takeout joint - lunch - frequently.
snow sports? Hiking/trekking/sledding.
water sports? Would love to but don't have a boat.
taking the pits out of avocados? Never eaten one.
multicolored pens? Erm... sure?

HA!  I feel for you brother.  I dated a girl from Davenport, many, many moons ago.  Names will be withheld to protect the innocent.  Suffice it to say, I'm VERY glad I didn't stay with her.

Yeah, you know the other thing I've noticed about people in general from this area? And no offense to anyone from E. Iowa, but no one seems to have any interest in leaving. Now, I don't mind Iowa, but it's not my particular idea of the place I want to spend the rest of my life, or possibly even the rest of this decade.

Self selecting prophesy there.  The ones that are there don't want to leave and the ones that are gone, you won't meet.

I lived in Cedar Rapids for 7 years.  4 years for school and 3 years of work.  Great place to raise kids.  Awesome school system in Iowa in general.  Great people.  Just not a lot going on culturally.

That's a good point. And like I said, I have nothing against Iowa, I just have this urge to constantly go see new places and figure out what life is like there.
On a different note, do you know how long it usually takes that brightroom.com or whoever took pics on Saturday to get them posted? I'm looking forward to seeing them.
