I hear that.  I've been wanting to take a trip and go race somewhere since I'm not working.  But I know it's probably not the world's best idea since, well, I'm not working.
Yeah I've no money, so that's out.

Tucson is a lovely place to train right now ... cycling, MTBing, running ... just delightful.  This is NOT geared at Tony for all y'all that think I gots the hots for him and that we have some budding or otherwise type of relationship flourishing and such.  This is a general statement aimed at all y'all.

Yeah, Vegas is not too bad either...  30 miles today with just a light jacket and wind vest.  Gloves, of course...

Not going for the double down?  I would be stupid to do it, but I may consider...

That reminds me (not sure why).  I think they are taking lottery entries into the Leadville 100 now.  BRB...

BTW, there are a LOT of 'winter' series races around here...  this could be some of the best times to run.

I should just move out there. LIfe'd be much better. From a training standpoint. Probably not so much a work standpoint!

So the final casualty report is in from the holidays...  15 lbs over the last two months after the HIM...  That's what a lot of good eating and zero training does to you.

I'm being a "snit" (some word that wifey made up) today.  The explosions are mild, but the fuse is SHORT today.  In fact, just one wrong word sets it off...  Odd, actually, since I let just about everything slide off my back (like a map of Hawaii - ewwwwww, that's gross and all)

So, I'm thinking of a philosphy change...

I may start transitioning to "live for the moment" than the current dogma I have perscribed to...

Thoughts?

I thought about getting into photgraphy more...  I photographer friend of mine offered to let me do his headshot work (sort of as a joke), but I think that if I assisted for a while, and learned the in's and out's of it, it could be a career change (or at least a side gig)...

Does "headshot work" mean something different in sin city than it does here in the heartland?

Here is my latest pet peeve with the wifey...  I tend to accept her wishes and just move on without much argument, but it's not reciprocated a lot of the time...

FOR EXAMPLE...  If she says she doesn't want pizza or italian for dinner, I say (to myself) "fine, no pizza or italian, let's think of something else".  and come to a compromise...

Tonight, she wants to get sushi.  I LOVE sushi, but not in the mood for it, so I said "no, I don't want sushi, lets do something else".  (I rarely am that decisive)...

Well, it turned into a 10 minute arguement of why sushi is more practical tonight (happy hour, budget, location, etc).  I finally snapped and said "why if you don't want something, we just pick something else, but if I don't want something, it has to turn into a arguement????"

I think I need to eat something.  I'm hangry...  maybe some sushi
