Almost every other day I get a call from an architect at 12:20.  Are you kidding?  Have to put my fork down and let my food get cold.

What's stranger about it, is he is in the same time zone.  Can't even make the excuse that he forgot the difference.

I see our master plan of getting promoted and getting that office before "bring your noisy/messy dependents to work day" is coming to fruition!

Two of my friends are stuck in Chicago trying to get back home from Boston. Rerouted flights. canceled flights and they are still in Chicago.

It is finally warm out here today but man it is windy and more storms coming.

How is everyone

I have to admit, I may, or may not have cried a tear or two during the broadcast of the interfaith service for Boston this morning.

Know what gets me chocked up?  Not the sadness, but all the stories of courage and heroism. 

hahaha, how did i forget that plan!  take our noisy kids to work day is one week from today, but they aren't allowed into the office areas until 3:30 so i should survive this round....

You must be an Engineer. I Also had the same thing announced today and only found out last night. So Awesome.

my degree is in engineering...my job title has engineer in it sometimes...but i sure don't feel like an engineer anymore!

Can you run away at 3:30 that day?  I would be inclined to either be on vacation or conveniently "sick" for the day.  Or at least develop a migraine or something starting at about 1pm and have to go home around... oh... say... 3pm? 

Alrighty then I scared everyone away.

In that case I am going to eat my Veggie Stir fry left overs I made last night.

Spicy goodness about to hit my belly.

I know that feeling as I am kind of a jack of all trades here. Cost analysis one min, Stoopid meetings another. Off to the customer to act like a Quality person. Spent last weekend in programming a robot - can you say RUSTY. Then working on quotes for Ford the last few days and bossing people around now that I am "Acting Engineering Manager" not sure what acting is I am not a Thespian. But I get to boss around 7 people now instead of 3 and work an extra 60 mins a day and get paid the same. With a possible bonus based on unreal goals.

I still try to keep my hands in things even when others won't. I like to go out and run machines with the operators. But I don't get to do it often enough now.

Today is not a day to come to Chicago as we are like a private island, where no one can get :-(
