SWBKRUN Mentor Group-"Off Season?" What is that?!! (Page 330)

Feeling kind of crappy the last couple of days Hope its not the start of something. My youngest duaghter is in the hospital but the doctors don't know why. could be a combination of the meds she is taking for her Krohn's and the H1N1 shot she got with her boys. Hopefully she'll be Ok. I can't get in to see her because I'm not feleing well either.

We have a pretty big controversy here about the professional sports athletes getting their H1N1 shots while some of the at risk groups are having to wait. They claim they are highly suseptable due to all of their travelling. I'm calling BS on that. What about all the people such, as myself, who take a packed train into work everyday. As professional atheletes they should be in better physical condition to resist the flu than some other groups!!!!!!  I think it is a very unacceptable attitude they have about this. Just because they are professional and make gobs and gobs of money shouldn't give them the right to jump ahead of everyone else even thought it sure seems that way. I heard a senior medical official was fired in Alberta for letting the Calgary Flames hockey team get their shots at a private facility. I don't like to see anyone losing a job over this maybe they should have just hit the hockey players and team with a hefty fine. Say 10K each with  $100K to the team with the money going towards developing more flu vacine for the rest of us.

Ok so much for the rant. Now onto much more pleasant things like making sure you all have a great race on the weekend. Good luck again to everyone.

How's Florida? You ready to go??? Weather forecast hot?

FL is nice..the hubby and 2 of the kids are out on the beach collecting shells right now.
Temps will be in mid to high 70's today, water temp is mid 70's and winds not too bad (right now).
Tomorrow is suppose to be the same.

Last night was the athletes dinner/meeting.  The nerves set in with all the "cutoff" discussion.
Now just getting my swim & bike bags ready....that is also getting the nerves going. 
This afternoon is bike and bag drop off. 

Tomorrow is the big show.   Just ready to get this show on the road...although I am having periodic moments of "what the heck am I doing"   


    

Only in Florida would they let you wear cut-offs on the swim.... 

No worries!

ETA: Well maybe Texas too.....
