Hey guys.  Not much going on with me right now, just trying to build up some run mileage for my half marathon in March.  I'm going to do a 5k on Friday night - starts at 11 pm.  I've never done a night race so thought I'd check it out and see what it's like.

Sounds like you guys are going to have a blast at Lonestar.  Wish I could join you but the timing's not right and I'm not anywhere near ready for a race like that.  Another year of sprints and possibly an Oly in the fall and then I'll go from there.

Off to read some RR's!
Janet

I'm thinking no one knows how to respond to Trevor telling you to grab the 14 oz ball between your legs.

I survived another round of all day meetings...only one more to go!  I cannot believe this used to be my life.  The man aka Paul got home from Argentina this morning and of course here I sit in Racine.  oh well...off to a business dinner....

PS what's up with only one page of content for the whole day?  Try to do better tomorrow

We are back from FL.   Drove all 14 hrs in pouring rain from Ida.  Glad we didn't get it in FL, but it sure made for a long trip home.  Hope to finish my race report and upload some pics tonight.

Warning to those planning on doing IM.  I have been very clear with myself and everyone else that my motto was "One and Done".  Well during the drive home when everyone else was sleeping I starting thinking about how I could knock chunks of time off my "next" IM    Glad that IMFL filled up before we got home

I have to show you all some IMFL injuries.  This is a friend from Seymour - he didn't finish due to injury.  And enjoy the story - you'll love what happens at mile 18 of the bike...

Awesome pics...comments:
1. are those BT shirt you cute family has on? How did you get them? The shirts not the family.
2. You have REALLY cute kids.
3. The one pic on the bike is the best. When you are leaving T1 there is a big billboard from Mcdonald's advertising a fru-fru coffee with whipcream on it. That would be a tortune ad!
4. I noticed you finisher pic said "One & Done" as a comment. You may need to rephrase that.
Congrats again...

Uhm, if someone posts a really GROSS picture like that blister, can you put a warning on it please?  Almost puked when I saw it. YUCK!

Since I will be sitting in another all day meeting I need something to get excited about.  This is the list I have for Lonestar--John, Tony, Sam, Suzy, Andy, Roni, Trevor.  Did anyone else decided to join team SWBKRUN while I was sequestered?  I hope so.

I'm pretty sure I will snag an Internet connection for my meeting so keep the chatter going, ok?

Great pictures Linda.  I agree you don't look tired in any of them.

EDIT: Oh and yes I giggled when I read this in your RR: "My stripper was awesome! One yank and he had my suit off."

Trevor someone on BT  made racer and support crew shirts for IMFL.  I think they pretty much do that for all the IM's now.

Pouring down rain here, I guess the remenants(sp?) of Ida.  Planning on swimming today and then maybe hitting the treadmill before heading home, LOL, haven't run over 10 miles this month.

Planning on doing an 8k on Saturday, should be interesting.  It's a trail run, complete with 2 stream crossings and some huge hills to climb.  Should be fun after 3 days of rain.

So what's everyones Turkey trot plan?  I am doing a 5k on the 26th, 2nd year in a row running with a neighbor, last year we did a 5 miler.

If anyone is in the market for wheels.  Someone in my area is selling a set of Planet-X 50mm Carbon wheels for 450/OBO.

If they wern't tubulars I would be all over it.  Not that I mind tubulars but my PT is on a clincher wheel and no desire to have to care spares for both wheels.

LOL, I did look up to see if a wheel could be rebuilt around my PT but sounds like it is more hassle than it is worth.

LOL, lots of bargains today

200 Ergomo Power Meter on Slowtwitch.  They no longer make them but they supposedly last a long time and for 200 bucks you can figure out if you like training with power.
