Sorry I haven't been posting, but work has been a bear this month! I'm still getting in my swim time, which is good since IM Wisconsin just gets closer and closer each day! The good news is that there is a very, very hot tri guy who swims at just about the same days and times I swim. He has done wonders for my motivation in the pool since looking at hot guys never hurts anyone! Hope you all are having a great month destroying the boys in the pool! Aimee. AIMEE. id be ALL about the very, very hot tri guy too. lucky duck. i say, get motivation from wherever you can get it. hmpf. why do i get all the balding, overweight middle aged men, who ooogle over my trisuit? blech-o. wheres my very, very hot tri guy? LOL. stacieb I swim 97% of the time with folks all over 65..no hot guys at all. Once in awhile I swim at off time and have some younger folk but rarely hot tri guys. |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: GIRLS TEAM THREAD May Swim Challenge I received a package from Amazon today. It is a camera that can take video and is waterproof for up to 10 feet. It is my Mother's Day gift so I can have someone take underwater swim videos. I have a disconnect between what I know I should be doing, what I do and need something to help connect those two things. They had one in hot pink....can't wait to play with it. Now watching swim videos I suspect will be quite humbling but perhaps will connect the what I should do with what I do do. |

Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: GIRLS TEAM THREAD May Swim Challenge blujay65 - 2009-05-13 8:54 PM Wow, I did my first OWS this evening. It was great!! I had so much fun. I love swimming without walls. It's definitely different than in the pool, practically no visibility in the lake we were in and it took me some time to get into the groove. It was not my best performance as far as distance and time go, but I was taking in the new experience and practicing sighting and that helped to slow me up a bit as well a few rests along the way. We only went about .43 miles Maybe 750 yards; apparently folks meet every Wednesday after work and I am invited to join in, I will make this a regular event for sure! Congrats Jen! OWS is fun. Definitely different than the pool but so good for building race confidence. |

How cute are those boys!? So sweet.
I have the FLU. I have been in bed sleeping for the past 2 days. I'm not giving up on the challenge however. Still plenty of time for Fishy McFisherson Lynne to catch up but it looks like the ladies are surpassing the fellas quite easily And that makes me feel MUCH better.
GO LASSIES! |
