A good read from Chrissie's blog.  Sometimes it's good to just leave off the gadgets and just swim, bike or run, among other things.

http://www.chrissiewellington.org/blog/stripping-down/#more-2714

Thanks Reece.  That is a great read.

I always wonder about how folks follow blogs, especially multiple blogs.  Do you log into it each day? Is there a way to have it e-mailed? I enjoy reading blogs when people post a link in BT, but there are so many good ones ...

I read quite a bit of blogs and bookmark my favorites. When I have down time I skim through and get up to date on the entries. I believe you can get notifications if you choose.

Oh HAI. I'm still in my full-on apathy kick.

Is this what people call contentment? Mellowness, maybe? It feels so very odd since I'm usually bouncing off the walls or, rarely, downright depressed but not very much in between.

But I do love my Manatees and keep you and yours all virtually clasped to my warm bosom (MELON PRESS)!

Oh. But I can't sleep tonight because Phoebe is missing. I mean, okay, she's often missing (most people's dogs just run free around the neighborhood--I do let Phoebles out on her own once in a while, and in any case she can get in and out of the gate on her own. Bali mutt dogs are total Houdinis and it's nearly impossible to keep them confined, unless it's in a crate). But somehow this time feels different.

You simply comprehend, even at your young age, the keys to the universe and its workings.

Had a college econ prof whom we called--to his face, he was rather tickled about it--PizzaNBeer. Because he believed all things econ (all things, really) could be explained with pizza and beer. I still believe his belief is correct.

I don't read a lot of blogs due to lack of time.  But today I had some "down" time, not really down time but for a few hours I felt like not working today.  I met Chrissie last summer got to talk to her for a few minutes at a benefit dinner and thus began the star-struck crush.  So I check in to her website from time to time hoping that she'll visit Kansas on her book tour .... NOT! Frown  I really liked her in the short time I spent with her and her book just cracked me up.  A pretty humble person given her achievements.  I love her honesty, especially the part about peeing on the bike!

There's only one kind of pizza, really, whatever form it may take: gooey, warm, salty, melts in your mouth, plain or different kinds of topping, good even when it's bad, and utterly heavenly.

OMG. I just realized the Hobbit Maid is going to KILL me if I lose Phoebe.

Nope. Really high-end international show dogs here (and there aren't very many) get the insides of their ears tattooed but no microchips.
