Giving flowers to a women are like ... giving something ..to a man. Explaining cryptically is not my forte. No like Steak and BJ day. * for Tat my dear man. Kate where do you live? Considering applying for a job near Destin (Fort Walton Beach). I know zero about Florida! Fort Walton Beach is in the panhandle right nextdoor to Panama city and IMFL. There is a pretty big AF base there as well. My brother was stationed there while he was in charge of some wing something or another. What do you want to know? Just a guess but I get the impression you might like that part of FL. I looked at cost of living calculators (no idea if they are accurate) and I'd only have to make a teensy bit more to equal my current salary/COL in Kansas. Population of the area seems pretty small (20,000?) but not sure how the other cities in proximity affect that - like would I have to drive to Panama City to find a Whole Foods type of grocery store? Curious about healthy lifestyle/culture - for example I have a good idea of the culture in places like Denver and Seattle, but notsomuch anywhere in Florida. Just never spent any time there... And it's not cold!!!! Bonus! |

The nicest most intelligent, good looking, witty, funny (and modest) people in the world live in FL. You will fit right in. If you don't believe me, ask Kate. Although Destin is a good ride from here, at least is closer than KS. |

No, Mr. D-XXX .. if YOU get flowers YOU will take the wife out for the fanciest dinner she's ever had and YOU will bring her a beer and be forever grateful! Ummm....no. It's an honor and a privlege to give me flowers. That's the reward. I'm the reward. |

I was in Ft Lauderdale - I think the panhandle is a different planet I've got a teammate in PCB - she seems to love it, had lots of endurance athlete friends, and lots of great places to swim and ride. This is her blog: http://runningwithabottleofwine.blogspot.com/ Her e-mail address is in her blogger profile - if you want to contact her and tell her I sent you, I'm sure she'd be happy to brag about how awesome the PCB area is for a triathlete. She's super friendly. |

I got it all figured out now, which will save me a few bucks with not having the electrician come in. WHEW. Now, have to pick up kiddos from their 1/2 day of school. Cheers, y'all! |
