Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() SSMinnow - 2009-11-25 5:39 AM It's Wednesday! I am going to shake things up a bit...today is usually the day I compile the things I am most thankful for this year. Want to share some of yours? race details welcome too....... Here are mine: 1. A solid releationship with my 86 year old mom. It is amazing what putting a manic depressive parent on the right medication can do for quality of life for the family. I only wish it happened sooner as her health continues to fail. 2. My friendship with the SWBKRUN crazies, especially Kim who feels like a sister to me and we haven't even met. 3. The man's new job that has made him a much better person to be around. Can't beat being happy in life. 4. My coach who has not only taught me how to be a better more confident swimmer, but also understand the importance of recovery to the whole triathlon experience. 5. My BFF Diane got married to a great man for the first time at the age of 45 years old. Couldn't be happier for her. 1. I'm thankful that I have a wonderful family. 2. I'm thankful that I have my health. 3. I'm thankful that I have a mother who is a saint and still bends over backwards to take care of me and now my family. 4. I'm thankful and very grateful that I spend time fine tuning our budget to fit in tri-coaching instead of food or housing. 5. And I'm thankful to have found such a great group of people in this MT group to share my tri/running passion. |

For me, I'm thankful for: 1. My wonderful wife and great kids - they are truly a blessing 2. Our community of friends and family that are both fun and supportive 3. Employment that allows my wife to stay home and raise our children 4. The freedoms we often take for granted in this country 5. While I won't be entirely sure until tomorrow, I'm pretty sure I'm thankful that John passed along that recipe for Sweet Potatoes 6. You guys are ok too ![]() Have a fun, safe Thanksgiving and let's hope Aaron Rogers and Ryan Grant have big days against the Lions - my fantasy team could use something to be thankful for too.

So geeky but taking the time to set up meals/nutrition stuff that I hope will help me be better about tracking stuff. Not much different than BT but this way he'll be able to see what I'm eating. |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I am thankful that you Americans have Thanksgiving at a different time of year than us. Therefore, in my part of the oil&gas industry, I get to take Thanksgiving off twice! It is so funny. We deal with alot of people all over the US. It is amazing how many people I have talked to today, that have said "Have a great Thanksgiving." Its blows me away that they cannot understand that we celebrate it at a different time. I am waiting for one of them ask me when we celebrate Christmas! Yes John, waiting for your witty response. Seriously, you guys have a great holiday. Enjoy your families!! |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() dalessit - 2009-11-24 5:11 AM Morning everyone. I don't think we have done a bike p0rn post in awhile. Post pic's of your bike. Even if you do have a fancy one on order, lets see what everyone is riding, lol it can be on the trainer if that is where the bike is currently sitting. I will take pic's of mine tonight when I get home. If you have multiple bike, post them as well. Hey, no one posted their pics! This is my new baby! Bad picture angle but our house is a mess right now. The weather is supposed to be incredible this weekend, but I am going to wait until after the marathon, December 6th. Ah, the temptation! Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Mine: I am thankful that I am married to my best friend. And I am especially thankful that I found him, because I thought that I was going to spend my life alone! I am thankful that we are able to spend time with our parents and that they are now relatively healthy, after numerous hospitalizations. And I am thankful for the doctors who took care of them. I am thankful that we both have good jobs and I am able to indulge in triathlon!! I am thankful for friends who support me. I am thankful for the military troops who ensure my freedom. That's at least a good start on my list! Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Good luck with the races and enjoy the turkey! Karen |
