Hopefully I can get a sprint and an oly in ahead of time...

how about this oly 2 weeks before g-town just across the bridge in kemah.   boat start in galveston bay.

also try to put this on wish list.  looks like we'll have a decent size crew rolling up from here.   race, float, dance (maybe catch willie or robert earl at gruene hall.)  oh.. .and drink.

That looks like fun!

Ziggy Marley version...thought I'd post it and have it go through a few of your guys' heads too!

People get ready
There's a train a comin'
You don't need no baggage you just get on board
All you need is faith
To hear the diesel comin'
Don't need no ticket you just thank the Lord

Consider it stuck.

Houston Has Slight Chance for Snow, Sleet on Friday

Updated: Tuesday, 01 Dec 2009, 12:27 PM CST
Published : Tuesday, 01 Dec 2009, 12:27 PM CST

HOUSTON - Weather models are showing a slight chance of snow or sleet mixed in with cold rain for parts of the Houston area on Friday.

Fresh models from FOXRAD show the best chance for snow is along and north of I-10 in the afternoon and evening hours.

“This is still about a 72 to 84-hour forecast, so it can certainly change, but the chances are getting higher,” said FOX 26 Meteorologist Mike Iscovitz.

Temperatures will remain in the low 40’s to mid 50’s for the rest of this week with partly cloudy skies on Wednesday and Thursday. The greatest chance for precipitation is on Friday heading into early Saturday.

So while I may be behind the ball on this one... have we ever set up a phone/contact list with our MG before?

I always enjoy the infrequent or race morning text - how about you?

If you're interested, I'll head it up unless someone else wants to.  Another though - address (for the stalker in all of us) - Christmas is coming soon and cards start falling into our mailboxes, why not got a card from someone who cares... about your training

PM me if you want to partake.  Please put the subject as 'Contact' so I don't lose it among all the other PM's I get in a day, or something like that, ha!

Both the waitress and her friend look good to me. Think the orange head girl is a little alternative....I dig that.

Good morning everyone! We're heading out this afternoon to Redwood City. It's about a 13 hour drive so we're going to break it up into a few days. I don't want to be crippled from a 13 hour drive when I get to Woodside We'll probably stop somewhere around Sunriver, OR tonight. We've never been through that part of Oregon or Northern California so it'll be a fun adventure! I'm ready to do the 50k, and don't really have any time goals other than beating the 8 hour cut off. Not really nervous at all, just excited! Of course that may change by Friday night

Jeremy- I think the contact list is a great idea! I'll PM you my info. So by infrequent text do you mean I can't text you 20 times a day

John- lol, I love when people who are unaccustomed to getting snow get dusted... schools and government offices shut down, people stay inside, fender benders everywhere My brother and his kids live in Houston, and came to visit us in Montana one year. It was Spring, but we took them to the mountains to see some snow since his kids had never seen it before. His son, about 6 years old, immediately picked up a handful of snow, held it for a few seconds and then started crying because it was COLD. lol

Roni:

In Dc if they even predict a dusting of snow (which they are usually wrong about) everyone runs to the stores to buy up all the bread, milk and toilet paper! I never understood that. Even if the snow came, it is gone within 48 hours! Who needs that much bread or goes to the bathroom that much in 2 days! Then again I was born and raised in NY where snow is no big deal.

Good luck on the 50K! Looking forward to hearing about your pacing and nutrition.

Go get 'em Roni!!!!!!  8 hours of running, ugh Cry  You are such a studdette!

I hear you about the snow.  In North Carolina they shut down with a prediction of snow - whimps.  But I won't complain about the extra time off that's for sure.

So John, I guess wool arm warmers and cold gear Under Armour are off my list of gifts for you for x-mas?  Guess I'll go to the fallback plan of a lifesize nude cutout.  Keeping it simple.
