On race day, just tell them to go to www.ironman.com... They will see the option for the live feed...

Beautiful. Thank you Nelson. I had searched the site and did not see any links, so it is nice to know it will be there on race day.

What are your thoughts about signing up for NEXT year's IMSG?

I really wish they didn't sell out so quick.  It's going to be hard to drop that kind of money a whole year in advance.  As this year's racers, we have dibs on entry this weekend.  Anyone planing to do it again next year?

I am going to pass on IMSG, but a friend is trying to talk me into an Iron distance race in OK....the Redman.  He does it every year and loves it.  I will see how I feel come June and look at the money/job situation and make a decision.

Packed last night and will be in bed by 8ish tonight.  Plane leaves at 5 am.....see yall there!!!  And have a safe trip!

Mostly packed...still some packing and shopping to do after work, though.  We're driving up tomorrow, hoping to get on the road shortly after 6 am.

Done for a few years, I really need to improve my swim to compete in tri's, and that will be my main focus.  When I go back, it will probably be IMCanada, Silverman, Vineman, or IMCDA.

I'm sneaking this race in with days to spare of the birth of our fourth child.... so, No, I will not be signing up for 2011. It was hard enough as is with three kids and a pregnant wife this time. I think I deserve a few years off from the iron distance.

I would love to keep doing IM distance races. But the time commitment is a bit crazy. I told my wife I will go back to sprint, Olympic, and HIM distances. I think my kids are excited to have a dad again too.

Not me. This was 2 years ahead of my 'master plan' for an IM already. I have only done 2 tris so far, one Oly and one HIM. Now IMSG will be my third. Too fast for the sane side of my brain to like, but sanity has never been my strong point.

I plan on doing Magic Mountain Man this fall and am seriously considering Full Vineman next year. If I plan on doing another IM after that, I will be shooting for Silverman.

On May 2nd this may all change and I might just decide to start Mountain Biking and beer drinking only...

When you are in St. George if you see a group in Orange Ironman St. George t-shirts with our names on the back; that's me and my mates.  One of our trianing partners got us all matching shirts and we have been instructed to wear them everyday - if you see us feel free to say hi a have a laugh about our goofy matching shirts.

We might get a little rain. But after doing Boise 70.3 last year I know how to swim the bike and the run. St George does not get enough rain in a year to make up for what we dealt with there. Cool

Good luck all you IM St George athletes.

I'll be there coaching, spectating and volunteering.  My wife and I will be bike catchers in T2.  I'm looking forward to seeing an IM from the 'other side'.

Weather forecast continues to improve...NWS has upped the temperature at the swim start by 4 degrees over the last day and rain potential's pretty low for the whole day now.  Still northerly winds in the picture, though.

Anyone know anything about a swim practice at Sand Hollow, I can't seem to find anything about a Gatorade swim like the other IM's.

Sorry if I missed it and thanks!

I think the swim is an on your own kind of thing. Nothing official so there will be no life guards or liability. This is just my perspective of it though. I think you can just go swim since it is allowed in the lake anytime.

I'm considering that one as well.  Easier to get in so I don't have to make the financial commitment so far out.  Same with Silverman.  I'm always at that event.  Twice to do the HIM and once to do the full.  I'm not sure which one I will do this year.

I sort of have a crazy notion to do Redman Full AND Silverman full this year and get three IM's in one year.  Pretty ambitious though.  It may be nice to  train for shorter events instead.  The long rides are too much of a time commitment.

Most sources seem to agree.  I'm getting 20% chance for rain all day.  That probably means there could be random shower, but not a big front or anything.

Temp and clouds look perfect, but not thrilled with what looks like a 14mph headwind for the two long climbs of the loop.  I just tuck and grind it out.  I would have prefered the winds from the south, but can't have everything.

I think WTC has discontinued the official "Gatorade" swim for liability reasons.
