How awesome that you got some MACCA!!! And even got run over by him in the swim!! That alone is worth the price of admission!!!! I love how you enjoyed it all and worked through the difficulties. I was inspired while tracking you and I will def have you in mind on Saturday! GO MANATEES!!!!!!!! |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod There is a new color of my new favorite running shoe - pink and black! Felicia, it totally made me think of you. I think I'm going to need a pair of these if they are still available in a month or two.

If you feel safe, then do it. And really, if it matters, look around at what people are wearing when they are exercising. I looked in my closet and realized I have more spandex than Olivia Newton John. It may not be the best look, but it is the most comfortable. So, if less clothes = more comfort, then "you go girl"! Today's words of wisdom come from one of my favorite BTers "Sulk. I wanted to keep talking about sexxeh bike porn and enjoying T.I.T.S..." Anyone care to guess?KansasMom - 2012-06-04 7:40 PM TriAya - 2012-06-04 1:48 PM Anyway, normally, I would never dream of running in just shorts and a running bra, but I am considering it on these late night runs because wearing a shirt is really uncomfortable.I was gonna say. I think TMI is a Manatee pre-req. So my question is, would it be okay if I wore a running bra and shorts with my lovely mesh/reflective vest and my head lamp if it is after 10:00 p.m. and maybe no one will notice what I'm not wearing? Of course it's OK. The main thing is to be comfortable. Honestly, your headlamp will blind anyone who is out and about anyway (if not, get a stronger headlamp). Huh. That sounds vaguely familiar. |

I have a pair of lime green Cascadia's that my husband thinks are hideous. My current pair of Pure Cadence is the bright blue. I've kind of always wanted pink running shoes, but they almost never make a support shoe in pink. Love them! |

Veteran 940 Citrus Heights, CA | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod Once again, another day off, and I fill it with plenty to do--yardwork, training, cleaning, etc...Clint decided that he would really like it if I planted some green beans (we have an obsession with them, I swear--they are SO good), of course, they are one of the few veggies that I have good luck growing. So I have to prep the area in which I would like to plant them. Thankfully, its a cool day today. I also have to get out on the bike for a goodish ride today (25-30 miles), along with a quick little run. I came to some conclusions about my training and effort today, the whole thing is in my blog--long story short, I have noticed that I am not really trying, in training or racing--has anyone else had this issue, where you basically say, "well, I can do the distance, that's what matters, so speed really doesn't make a difference."--and you end up not pushing yourself? Or is it just me? Ah well, I should not dwell on it too much and just go. |

Master 3888 Overland Park, KS | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod I'm HTFU'ing it and racing my HIM this weekend! Actually just the bike portion, I'm switching my individual entry to a relay. It will be a somewhat slow, very careful bike ride for me. I've got one friend lined up, looking for the third to complete the team. |

I bought a couple shirts and a pair of shorts, and they were all men's. Skinny little critters over there |

"Somewhat slow" make the emphasis on slow. |

But I agree with you that mailing it in can become quite easy. So, somewhere there is a happy middle ground that only you can figure out. I believe the answer is to train the brain and the rest will follow. |

I do my best to go into all of my training sessions with a purpose. The purpose is very rarely to get faster but is always to get better. These goals can range from getting better at hydrating to working on mental strength. |
